Pet 2 Vet Connection

Pet 2 Vet Connection My name is Erica Carr and I have lived and worked in Colorado Springs for over 8 years. I am originally from Arizona, where I obtained my CVT license.

Offering mobile Veterinary Technician services, to pet lovers in the Colorado Springs area, SQ fluid demonstrations, blood pressure monitoring, arthritis injections and minor grooming, call or text me to find out more about my services. I moved to Colorado Springs to help support and open Pine Creek Veterinary Hospital, where I managed and worked for over 7 years. The idea for this business starte

d when we were performing blood pressure readings on certain pets that were nervous and stressed, causing the results to be inaccurate and unusable. I thought being able to perform this type of service in a home setting would create more accurate results. I obtained permission from Dr. Cristy Fisher to try this on one pet and the result of this trial was successful! From there I decided to transform this idea into a business that I could not only share with other clinics, but with the pet lovers of Colorado Springs. This not only allows me to not only offer blood pressure readings, but other mobile friendly needs which are listed below. The following are examples of the available services:
Nail Trims
Matte Removals
A**l Gland Expressions
Hygienic Shaves
Lion Cuts for Felines
Subcutaneous Fluid Therapy
Assisting with Glucose Curves
Blood Draws(for lab tests requested by your Veterinarian)
Urinary Catheter placements
Transportation of pet to local groomer or Veterinarian

Certain services will only be performed by the request of your primary Veterinarian. Please feel free to give me a call if a service you require is not listed!

Blood pressure monitoring is an important tool in managing diseases of our pets. It is also necessary for pets who are on medication. Certain prescription medications can cause pet's blood pressure to increase or decrease and routine monitoring as recommended by your veterinarian is vital to the health and safety of your dog or cat. In home blood pressure readings is one of the most common services I am able to provide. It also happens to be one of my FAVORITE things to do! How can one not enjoy their job, when the patient is sleeping and totally relaxed while obtaining readings? Meet Luna and Ralphie! Their blood pressure test was recommended by their primary care veterinarian.

Today was a great day to showcase how lucky I am to be able to provide relaxed diagnostic blood pressure readings (at the request of a veterinarian) for dogs and cats! Meet Ladybug and Tulip, two kitties from different families that are chill at home, but not so much when at the vet! Seeing them this comfortable while obtaining readings is very rewarding and is another reminder of why I continue to be a CVT! Thank you Ladybug and Tulip!

Well...here is sweet Sid...he belongs to a friend of mine and needed a nail trim. I guess he has not had a trim before. He was so good for his first three feet...then I guess he thought he could "hide" from me for the last foot....😆. Well...a large milkbone later...and all of a sudden I wasn't so bad! Thank you Sid and Robert for allowing me to trim them. His nails we're not too bad...and he was a very good boy!

One of my many favorite reasons to love Colorado. Its silly, but when the Willow or cottonwood trees shed their "fluffy" white parachutes, it just feels like I'm in a dream. Again, silly, but it's just so pretty and innocent (not sure if you can tell in the picture...but they are flying around). Anyways...hope everyone is enjoying the weather with family, friends and especially our furry family. Time for great walks, hikes and plenty of ball chasing. Keep hydrated and watch the asphalt for high temps...lots of burned paw pads this time of year! Thought I would add we added a member to our furry family. Thank you to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region for allowing us to adopt him. He was well cared for there and we sure are lucky to have him! Meet Falafel Gregg!

This adorable little thing...and her family were in a car accident and I picked her up to get her to the Animal ER Care, LLC, for some testing and supportive care. Everyone is ok and on their way to mending. They were so smart to keep her in her carrier...and luckily she only had some minimal damage to her eye. It sounds as though everyone was lucky and all of her family sure wanted the best. She seems like one special little min pin! Thoughts to everyone and thank you for entrusting her to me!
