Phoenix’s Journey Hey everyone, my name is Phoenix. I’m from Colorado and was on the run for about 10 months before finally being caught.

My paws are destroyed and I will need lots of love and care these upcoming months and medical attention.

Phoenix had huge breakthrough this morning. Started off with me letting him out of his room this morning to go outside and go potty. When he came out of his room he rubbed his body against me a few times. I was almost in tears as he had never done that. He always runs right past me. Of course I didn’t have my phone. Once I let him back inside he wanted to play with me. I sat and played on the ground. He came and gave me paw a few times, he played with me, played near me and sniffed me all over. He even played there licking my hands which he’s never done. I’m so happy right now. He just showed he now trust me. He is such an amazing boy. Hopefully today we can talk him into a bath.
