Hello and happy Sunday to all my BFD friends and family!!! We woke up to a little surprise this morning… miss Cinder Beans is in heat… I’m considering a litter… but I wanted to reach out to you all first and see if anyone is currently looking for a new furry family member or knows of someone that is in the market. I would love to raise some puppies again but I would need to build up the wait list a bit before feeling comfortable taking that plunge.

I would be breeding her to our own boy Bear, Bear is from our Mavis + Duke litter in 2021. It would be Bears first litter and Cinders second.

Both parents are naturally loving and extremely cuddly with their people, they enjoy playing with their human and canine brothers and sisters but have an “off switch” and can cuddle on the sofa and watch TV as well.

Puppies will experience the same level of interaction and early training/stimulation that you’ve come to expect from the Black Forest Doodles program.

These pups will grow to be standard size, between 50 pounds and 75 pounds in adulthood. They will all be furnished (mustache, beard, etc) with wavy to curly coats. They will need regular coat maintainence, to include brushing (every couple of days) and grooming every 4-6 weeks.

We’re expecting anything from creamy white, brown, brown Merle, black, black Merle, phantom, phantom Merle.. the whole 9 in terms of color. Obviously I can’t guarantee colors but these are all possibilities with this pairing.

WOOHOO!!! Great news! We got our girl Maisy’s hip/elbow and heart results from OFA, we have good ratings on both elbows and heart and a rare EXCELLENT for her hips. One more test with the eye Dr and we will be planning a Maisy + ? Litter for the spring. (Scroll through the photos for her OFA results)
-you may be wondering what kind of coats we can expect from a flat coat like miss Maisy… the answer is ALL FURNISHED WITH WAVY HAIR. Much like Mavis and Margot’s coat types. Maisy won’t have a single pup with a flat coat.
-my plan is to pair her with a male that has excellent hip ratings as well and pennhip scores of .3 or better (breed average is .5 and the lower the number the better the rating) so our puppies should all be set up for success in the joint department
-I’ll likely be on the lookout for a male that is black or patterned so we have some variation in coat colors as well
-we have a few on our wait list but I need more if this breeding is going to happen. If you or someone you know is looking for a well bred doodle let me know.
