What is place/ settle training and why is it important when it comes to dog training? Place or settle trainining is very important when it comes to dog training. Place training can help with a dog who’s overexcited and cannot control their arousal levels. It can help keep your dog out of the way of guests. As a reminder, we are a balanced training company. We use tools such as head collars, prongs, and e collars. All tools are used correctly and properly for each dog and their individual needs. All dogs are treated with love and respect while they are in our care in any of our training programs. If you are against tools or balanced training methods, there are plenty of positive reinforcement based trainers out there for you to work with. Everyone meet Bear! This sweet boy was pulled from the Pueblo humane society today and will be with me until July 19th, to work on basic manners and obedience. He was a previous farm dog who was an owner surrender due to killing a chicken. His new family cannot wait to bring him home after training. He is the sweetest boy. He’s only a year old.

This little man is getting so big! This week we have been working on luring into heel, sit, and down positions. He’s done a lot of playtime. He met a toad and was totally confused by it lol 😂 Overall he’s doing amazing and following in big brother Adventures With Summit Footsteps. Cannot wait to see how this boy grows in the next month and a half.
