Peaceful Partings Kind, compassionate, in home euthanasia of family pets. We are a completely mobile service and will come to you.

Deciding to euthanize a pet is one of the most difficult decisions that people make. Becase pets are considered part of the family, this is a difficult time for everyone involved. The goal of Peaceful Partings is to make this time easier for both the pet and the family by offering pet euthanasia where the pet and family are most comfortable, in their own home

The 4th of July is one of our favorite holidays, but for many of our pets, it can be one of the most stressful nights of the year. Here are some tips and tricks to help keep your furry family members safe and calm this Independence Day. 🐾

😰 If your pet is anxious around fireworks:
- Keep them indoors. Even pets that are usually calm outdoors can bolt when startled by loud noises. Make sure doors, windows, and gates are securely closed.
- Double-check their ID. The 4th of July is one of the highest days for lost pets. Make sure tags are up to date and microchip information is current before the holiday.
- Create a safe space. Set up a cozy, quiet area in an interior room with their favorite blanket or toy. Familiar smells and comfort items can go a long way.
- Use calming sounds. White noise, calming music, or a TV left on can help drown out the sound of fireworks.
- Consider a C*D treat. Many pet owners have found C*D treats helpful for managing anxiety during fireworks. Give the treat 30 to 60 minutes before fireworks begin for best results. And remember, C*D can be dehydrating, so make sure your pet has access to plenty of fresh water throughout the night! Always consult your vet before trying C*D for the first time.
- Talk to your vet. If your pet experiences severe anxiety, your veterinarian may recommend calming supplements or medication ahead of time. Don't wait until the last minute!

🎇 If your pet is fireworks-friendly:
Lucky you, and lucky them! Here's how to enjoy the show together safely:
- Keep them on a secure leash at all times, even if they seem relaxed
- Bring fresh water to keep them hydrated in the summer heat
- Choose a viewing spot away from the crowd to avoid overwhelming noise and chaos
- Watch for sudden changes in behavior, as even calm pets can become startled unexpectedly
- Head home before the finale when fireworks are at their loudest

Summer is here, and we know your pets love every adventure it brings - from morning hikes to lazy afternoons in the backyard. Here are a few loving reminders to help keep them safe and happy all season long.

🐾 Check the pavement before you walk. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws. Try to walk during cooler parts of the day - early morning or after sunset are ideal.

💧 Hydration is everything. Always bring fresh water on walks, hikes, or any outdoor trip. Pets can overheat quickly, and a well-hydrated pet is a happy one.

🌊 Water safety matters. Not every pet is a natural swimmer! If you're heading to a lake, river, or pool, consider a pet life vest and always supervise closely near the water.

🌿 Watch out for trail hazards. Foxtails, thorns, and certain plants can be harmful to curious paws and noses. Give your pet a quick check after any hike or nature walk.

🦟 Stay on top of flea and tick prevention. Summer is peak season for pests. Make sure your pet's prevention is current before heading outdoors.
