A friend of mine saw this on Fox 21's page and sent it to me.

Nextdoor has announced its 2026 Fave Awards, recognizing the most beloved businesses as voted on by neighbors.

The list compiles businesses that are voted on exclusively by locals. Businesses can’t buy their way onto the list, Nextdoor said, which ensures the winners are reflective of the businesses that locals frequent and praise for their service.

There are dozens of businesses in and around Colorado Springs that earned a Fave Award, but the top ten most voted are as follows:

Hamlett does not spay female rabbits. I know the online scheduling makes it appear that we do. I am very sorry for any misunderstandings. We did not design the actual app for online scheduling. We are working with the designers to get the rabbit spay removed.

Hamlett now has online appointment scheduling for surgeries! We are moving to a new software with a more automated system that allows you to schedule online, sign consent forms via email, upload vaccine history and documents and receive both pre-and post-op instructions automatically. We are trying to improve and streamline the experience for our customers and their pets.

We will go live with our new software next week on October 6th. There will be an adjustment period but this will allow us to spend more time with patients and less time doing paperwork and computer input.

We are happy to announce that we have been updating our check in process for surgeries. The new process is going much smoother, and you are spending less time waiting in a crowded lobby. More changes will be made in the future.

The next Saturday vaccine clinics are September 26th, October 10th and 24th from 8:00am to 11:30am. No appointments are scheduled. It is on a first come - first served - walk in basis.

We have openings this week for cat surgeries, both male and female.

We have learned that with Cherry financing, the first payment to Cherry is due on the day of services. It is paid directly to Cherry through their app, not to Hamlett. It does need to be on a credit or debit card. Apple pay, Zelle, or other cash apps do not appear to work for making payments to them.

Effective immediately, Hamlett Spay and Neuter clinic will no longer be accepting checks for services.

We do accept MC, VISA, Am Express, Discover, Cherry financing and of course, CASH! We apologize but have had too many NSF checks to continue this service.
