This National Veterinary Technician Week, we're celebrating the incredible Associates who make our hospitals thrive — like Karen, who began as a CSR and never stopped growing and like Joanne, who sought mentorship and support to obtain her VTNE.

At VCA, we're proud to champion our veterinary technicians every step of the way — offering mentorship, encouragement, and the resources to help you reach your full potential.

To every vet tech in our VCA family: thank you. What you do matters deeply — to our teams, to our patients, and to the pet owners who trust us with their most beloved companions.

Every surgery starts long before the first incision. It starts with a veterinary technician who has spent years mastering their skills, anticipating needs, monitoring vitals, and showing up fully prepared for every patient who comes through the door.

Vet techs are the heart of every OR team, and their skill and dedication make a difference every single day. At some VCA specialty hospitals, we take surgical collaboration even further. Some of our teams include Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) — professionals who earned specialized degrees specifically to support surgeons in the OR.

The result? Less time under anesthesia. Better outcomes. And a team that truly works as one. 💙

Because every patient is somebody's pet — and they deserve nothing less than the best.

Awooooo! 🎶🐾
Turbo had a lot to say during his outdoor adventure—we're just not sure what he was announcing.

We think Luna deserves a round of applause. 👏💙
She came in for a bandage change after her amputation and greeted everyone with the biggest smile. She's taking recovery in stride, and we couldn't be happier to be part of her journey.

Our patient, Hank, might not know he's wearing a hat, but we appreciate the effort. 🐾

Zuko's "take me back" face is almost impossible to say no to. 🖤🐾
We'd like to think he's already missing his clinic friends (and maybe hoping there were a few more treats waiting for him). Until next time, Zuko!

We're not saying Rebel and Olive are related...
..but we've never seen them in the same family photo. 👀 Their similar coats have us wondering if these two are long-lost siblings who finally found each other.

Our patient, Aslan, is taking pet hydration month seriously!

Here are a few easy ways to help keep your pet hydrated:
🐾 Provide fresh, clean water at all times
🐾 Bring water and a portable bowl on outings
🐾 Offer plenty of shade and breaks during outdoor adventures
🐾 Watch for signs of dehydration like excessive panting, dry gums, or lethargy

Have a safe, fun, and well-hydrated summer! 💙

Happy National Kitten Day! 🐱💕

Our sweet patient, Callie, stopped by to remind everyone just how adorable kitten season can be! Whether your kitten is busy climbing curtains, chasing toys, or napping in the sun, don't forget that regular veterinary care, vaccines, parasite prevention, and lots of love help them grow into happy, healthy cats.

Help us celebrate by sharing a photo of your favorite kitten in the comments!
