June is National Pet Preparedness Month. How can you make sure you and your pet are prepared for danger and disaster? Here's a few tips:
⚠️Microchip your pet. Your pet’s chip may help you find them if they get lost. Tags on collars are very important, too!
⚠️Have transportation and travel supplies readily available in case of an evacuation: cat carriers, leash & harness, etc.
⚠️An emergency kit is never a bad idea. Stock it with extra pet food, water & water bowl, a blanket, and maybe a comforting toy.
⚠️Know where your local animal shelter is and how to reach them. The shelter is a great resource for lost pets.
