Happy new year to all!! May this be an awesome year for us all! No puppies at the moment but a momma is due end of the month!! We had an accident and lost our male through no fault of his or us. A stray got into the yard and killed him. We had to scramble for a stud and was blessed by Jenn Lupers generosity and one of her studs!! Check back for litter information late January first of February!

Facts lol

Borrowed this from another breeder but I believe it’s 💯% accurate.

Male vs. Female 🐶🐶

Does a male or a female make a better pet for you and your family?

It’s not uncommon for people to believe that a female dog will make a better pet. We get a lot of messages for people wanting that “special little girl”. For whatever reason they don’t think that females will exhibit “alpha” behaviors like hu***ng and/or marking. A lot of people think that females are more passive and friendly and that they don’t take part in fighting over dominance, which could NOT be farther from the truth. If you check out the structure of dog packs, the females determine the pecking order and rule the roost. The result of that behavior is that the females become more stubborn, independent, and territorial than the males. These females are much more intent on exercising their control by participating in that “alpha” behavior like hu***ng. Most fighting will usually break out between two females.
Males tend to be more affectionate, exuberant, attentive, and even more demanding of attention. The males are very attached to their owners, tending to be more dedicated, reliable and less temperamental. They are more sociable, more accepting of other pets, playful for years, and take quicker to children. Most boys are easily motivated by treats/food, words of praise and are so eager to please that training actually becomes easier. Their playful nature, however, can make males more easily distracted. The boys are more likely to act silly and more puppy-like, always wanting to play games, no matter what their age. The boys are fun-loving until the day they die, whereas girls tend to be more standoffish and dignified the older they get. Neutered males rarely exhibit secondary sexual behavior such as marking and lifting their legs or hu***ng. Once the testosterone levels recede after neutering, most of these behaviors will disappear if they ever existed. Boys who were neutered early (by five months of age) usually don’t ever raise their leg to urinate.

🌟So before making your decision on that age old dilemma of male verses female, hopefully this will give you some helpful info to think about.🌟

Reposting from an others site but so true!!

Wow..
No need for mean messages if you don’t like a breeders price move right along as there are 100 other breeders in the state of Tennessee that may very well be closer to your budget.

I know what my babies are worth and I know exactly how much work I put into them.

You honestly do get what you pay for.

I know I’ve said it before but we really put so much into breeding. You can’t just pair two dogs together, have some babies and sell them for $500 a piece.

Everything cost money. Literally everything.
Just a small example. A well bred Registered, health tested female cost anywhere from $2500-$8000. Males honestly don’t differ very much as it is so hard to come across a healthy very, very small male without any kind of genetic defects that clears on health test who actually have both two testicles with a good bite to boot
Honestly Much easier to find females. I spent 7 yrs literally throwing just thousands and thousands of dollars away going through different males who health tested horribly that I couldn’t use or who never had their second testicle drop -that is hereditary- or who got way too big for us to safely use on our girls.
Or maybe he just had a very terrible attitude or ended up having bad features that I didn’t want to see in my babies.
I breed too Improve the gene pool. That’s very important to me.

The very small healthy males are quite pricey. Especially imported, which all three of our boys are.
And then you have all the health test for the parents-
Registration fees-
Vetting-
Dentals-
Microchipping-
Reproductive vetting before you have a litter for both mom and dad-.
All of the puppy supplies needed for the birth-
Emergency C-section-
Emergency vet visits, which we have definitely had plenty of -whether it be parent or puppy.

After your mom has her puppies there’s another vet visit to make sure puppies and mom are doing good.
We spend a minimum of three weeks sleeping with those babies -literally- to make sure nothing happens to them, to make sure they are latching on, to make sure they’re actually gaining weight- we weigh each baby several times a day. Mom has to be watched so carefully for any postpartum issues. Low calcium- erratic behavior. Any sign of infection.
It’s definitely so exhausting in the first few weeks and you just worry constantly watching those babies like you just had a newborn x4 lol

Tube feeding the little ones that fall behind. -happens a lot more frequently than you would realize-
Then after you make it past that huge leap, we have shots x 2-3 depending on how long each puppy is with us and how small they are, whether we have to space it out or what not. That’s so stressful. You never know who’s going to have a reaction as they are so tiny. And the stress of having to find that was perfect home for each individual baby.

That’s a whole different conversation for another day. That’s definitely a lot of work lol
I strive to train our babies as much as possible before they leave so it’s easier on new parents.
Typically The puppies are about 80% 90% puppy pad trained before leaving. Pad training a whole litter of puppies at once honestly isn’t the easiest sometimes. 🫠😅
We socialize them as much as possible . The kids absolutely love the time to spend with each baby. ❤️
So when I get a message on how the puppy I’ve already brought down in price is ridiculously priced because they paid $300 -15 years ago for their 14lb Yorkie it’s just a slap in the face. It is Rude and it is hurtful. I love taking care of these babies and bringing happiness to families.
I don’t regret it at all but I also can’t put myself in a hole trying to help everybody else out. I put too much into these babies to just give them away like that. Yorkies are expensive.

I almost always send full registration which is pretty much unheard of in the breeding world anymore. Not everyone wants their line spread out all over the world. -We put a lot of time into Pedigree and pairing just the right parents tightening the line and improving health and features.- I try to be very lenient on that but have been second guessing myself a lot lately on that choice.
Babies always leave with vet records, microchip packet and a puppy pack to help that Baby transition into his new home.

I offered payment plans for a bit to help new homes and honestly that’s not went very well at all. I definitely have to come up with a different approach with that plan or just cut them off altogether. More of a headache than anything.

But waking up each and every day getting the opportunity to help raise these babies, getting to play with them or just watching them run around so happy is worth it to me
or when the new families finally get to meet their fur baby and you see just how excited they are and how excited the puppies are that’s what keeps me going. I love that ❤️
