Hi neighbors!

As you all are likely aware, the Pet Animal Care and Facilities Act (PACFA) now requires groomers to have proof of vaccines for animals that we service. This is a state wide mandate for all groomers, whether they are mobile, in home, or at a salon. Unless your pet has a medical reason they cannot get vaccinated and you can provide a licensed veterinarian signed letter, there are no exceptions to this.

You cannot provide a titer test as a substitute for vaccinating. You cannot write a letter yourself stating that you just don't want to. All vaccines must have a clear expiration date and be able to provide a serial number, if you vaccinate at home. And yes, we do have the right to call your veterinarian to verify or ask for records. We have personally asked PACFA all of these questions.

All dogs must be current on distemper/parvo, which is shortened to DAPP, and rabies. All cats must be current on distemper/upper respiratory, which is shortened to FVRCP, and rabies. That means all animals must be current on two vaccines, not just rabies.

Again, there are absolutely no exceptions to this. We have already gotten a violation for incomplete records.

We have been very understanding about this with you, but we really need compliance from you on this. We are a family run business, this is the entire livelihood for me and my family. We cannot continue business with you otherwise.

Hello Neighbors,

As we've stated in a previous post, we are doing ongoing research on the canine respiratory illness. We've found more information that the illness is not being spread through grooming facilities and the cases didn't rise like expected over the holidays. We've also learned that many grooming facilities are still taking in a lot of dogs at once and never decreased volume even during the warnings.

With this new information we've decided to go back to our regular scheduling in February. We still are and always have cleaned and disinfected tools and surfaces between dogs, are not letting dogs interact with each other, and are taking only one or two families at a time. We will also continue running an air purifier and will occasionally air out the area. In addition, I'll message you with more time in advance to pick up, so they stay in the kennel as little as possible.

We are still being cautious and mindful of this illness and if you have concerns about your dog being around other dogs, let us know and we will try to accommodate that. We sincerely appreciate how respectful and compliant everyone was with the procedures we took. It's been a pretty difficult couple months for us and you all were quite helpful.

As always if your dog is coughing, sneezing, or seems lethargic, please keep them home. The $25 deposit is always refundable if you give us at least 24 hours notice.

Hi Neighbors,

We've been doing ongoing research on the canine respiratory illness and have decided to take extra precautions with your pets. We're now only taking one family in at a time. We've adjusted the schedule to reflect this.

We discovered the illness is airborne which means that the air in a confined space is contaminated. By veterinarian recommendation, we are airing out the area between dogs and running an air purifier the entire time. We are doing a deep cleanse of our tools, disinfecting all surfaces, and sanitizing our hands between dogs.

We ask that you stay outside with your pets until we're ready for them and we will be notifying you before they are finished so as to avoid the kennel as much as possible. If your dog seems lethargic or is coughing and/or sneezing, please keep them home. As always, the $25 deposit is refundable if you cancel or reschedule prior to 24 hours.

I want to remind you that the Bubbles and Daisy name came from my own pets, who some of you have met. Bubbles, my black Cocker, who has now passed, and Daisy Beetle, my cat, pictured. This illness only affects dogs and with that, I do groom cats as well. I really love cats and have often considered being a cat only groomer. We can do baths, cuts, nails and nail caps, brush outs and de-matting, dry baths, sanitary cuts, and even dye if you so wish.

Again, this is the busiest time of year so we are trying to meet the demand while keeping your pets safe. We will be open Saturdays if we need to, in order to accommodate you. Our schedule is pretty tight at the moment. We ask that you be patient with us and plan ahead as we navigate these uncertain times.

I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but we are also trying to supplement our income with our side business selling art, candles, crafts and oddities at Ghostzalez Art if you'd like to support us.

Hi neighbors,

We are aware of the canine respiratory illness going around and just know we are taking precautions and care with your babies.

We're disinfecting all surfaces between dogs including the leads and the grooming arm. We already were disinfecting tools, but they now get two passes of disinfectant. We're trying to keep dogs of different families as far apart as we can and are using a screen between dogs within 4ft or less. We're also using hand sanitizer or washing hands between touching different dogs. And messaging you before we've finished so they aren't sitting in the cage too long or at all.

My own dogs, Punkin and Stitch, are no longer coming into work with us any more either. We only take a couple dogs at a time as it is, but this is the busiest time of the year and we'll try our hardest to keep your family members safe while trying to meet the demand.

Please be patient and understanding with us because we are trying our best. We appreciate everyone being compliant and careful as well.

We respect your decision if you want to cancel or reschedule your appointment. As always, the $25 deposit is refundable if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance.

We ask you not to bring in your dogs if they have any of the following symptoms: coughing, fever, runny nose, loss of appetite, and lethargy. If your pet has any of these symptoms please keep a close eye on them and consider getting them to a vet.
