This is a 4th generation CMD, bred for excellence, and he truly embodies everything the breed is known for; loyalty, intelligence, and calm yet protective instincts. Experienced homestead guardian in the mountains of the Front Range, Copper is 4 years old, born 27 October 2021. He is steady, reliable, and exceptionally well-mannered. Proven stud who successfully sired a healthy liter of G4s. He is gentle, friendly and patient with kids of all ages.
Copper is an excellent guardian for goats, chickens, pigs and is great with other dogs. He has been around free range chickens on our farm, and he respects and protects his flock. He barks only when there’s a reason; to ward off predators or alert if a strange dog comes on to the property, no unnecessary barking. He is electric fence trained when you need to keep him contained, but can also easily be walked on a leash for trips to the vet.
This dog is a working LGD with a large beautiful build and strong CMD lineage (RLT Manitou x CNK Anise). He’s been raised around livestock and children, and is trustworthy both in the field and around the family. Whether you're looking to add a proven sire to your breeding program or a reliable guardian for your homestead, he checks all the boxes. He has been DNA tested with Embark, results can be provided upon request.
