Not much to report on the dog front right now. Most of the collies have transitioned to their summer bikinis, I moved our goats into the garden for cleanup so I can plant. Tango loves the goats!

Fans, I have had so many puppy inquiries in the last few months it has been overwhelming to respond to everyone. Unfortunately the litter that we had hoped we were going to have this year did not happen and we hope to try again on the next season- WITH that being said, many folks have been emailing asking if I know of reputable breeders in Colorado with puppies available. Because I am the current puppy referral member for the Collie Club of Colorado and as a referral member, I want to share that I do know that Chuck Bessant of Testarossa Collies in Peyton Colorado has a few puppies available right now. Chuck is also a board member of the Collie Health Foundation. This is our families private kennel page, and I periodically share referrals here to help my fellow collie club breeder friends. As always, as a potential puppy buyer do your research on the puppy you are interested in and the individual lines!

I’d like to introduce my followers to Dipper… dipper was a wild mustang gathered from the Devils Garden HMA by the Forest Service in California. Last summer my daughter and her friends participated in a yearling wild horse youth training challenge, where their goal was to take a yearling horse and then compete with him and offer him up to adoption to the public. Dipper was the challenge horse that we received- Well, Dipper turned out to be a wonderful horse and we adopted him.
He also….. LOVES dogs!!! He will go hang his head over their run and play with them. Sometimes it’s naughty, so enjoy this short little video of me asking him to leave the dogs alone. I usually keep this kennel run shut off so he can’t do this with the dogs because as you can see they love him too😆 naughty boy!

We recently decided to make a placement with one of our middle aged dogs. She is fully health tested, OFA excellent hips and great DNA etc- only bred once- we just didn’t have the right direction to breed her in again and I cannot have a ton of dogs here and if you know how my program operates, WE DO NOT breed often. My kids raise and train our dogs and typically use them in Junior showmanship, so every single one of the dogs gets a lot of individual training time. It is hard to make decisions like this, but while running a breeding program you cannot move forward sometimes without these hard decisions. We are in the middle of a re-start in the direction we are going but would not make a move placing her unless it was perfect.
After posting, we received about 15 email inquiries. As a family we sifted through the emails together and reached out to one couple specifically. My kids said “MOM you have to call her, they may be perfect for Amy!!!”
Mind you Amy was born in my hands for her to be placed anywhere it really had to be right. I have permission to share this from Amy’s new family———

We can't thank you and your family enough for sweet Amy.
It's like we won the lottery. She is an absolute dream doggy.
She's been settling in really well
- and we are so lucky! She is loving chasing things in the yardS, long walks and playing, and the beach. ...and sleeping in the bed.

Thank you so much to this wonderful family for being the perfect fit for Amy. I appreciate all of the other inquiries. Periodically I may post older dogs for other collie breeders I may know, it is always worth emailing me to see what I have or know of that is out there. Give me a little grace in responding, I work and have a lot of kids- I can BE SLOW to email you back! If you need to send me an email reminder, it doesn’t offend me.

⭐️Shimmer⭐️Bellevilles Shimmering Lights of Pineland, placed 3rd in a beautiful class of open blue bi***es, handled and groomed by her breeder Katie Thomas (Preddy) of Belleville collies. Shimmer is well over halfway to her CH, taking a VERY hopeful break from showing this summer.
