Before and After! It's Spring cleaning time for the colony. Cleaning out the bedding and taking out the waterers/feeders/nesting boxes to give them a good cleaning.

Got 18 bags of bunny manure + h**p bedding from the NW run area and started on the NE section before I ran out of steam 😆 23 bags total on their way to a greenhouse that is building community garden beds.

Found some big FAT earthworms going through the bedding. Bunny Manure is black GOLD! Happy to share with organizations doing good work to feed our neighbors ❤️

7 kits born on 5/7 from Licorice and unknown sire. Definitely was a lilac tort! Just not sure if it was Bosco or if it was one of his offspring

This morning in central Colorado Springs, our rabbitry was attacked by a black bear.

We are devastated to share that we lost an estimated 75% of our Rex herd, including two young litters. There are survivors, and we are incredibly grateful that not all is lost. We can rebuild from the genetics we still have.

Right now, our focus is on caring for the animals that remain and addressing the immediate situation. We’re still processing everything and will share updates when we can.

We appreciate your support and ask that, for now, comments and advice be limited as we focus on moving forward.
