When you have served your “cat show time” and get to stay home while the others go do the good work of being ambassadors of the breed. 🤣

Seriously though, cat shows are fun but we ask so much of cats at cat shows. New cat smells, loud unfamiliar sounds, hormones and strangers handling and scrutinizing them. It’s a lot but today was a good day for all Summit Rex cats. El and Rosa did great today each making a few finals and we were super happy to have Birdy (formerly known as Dottie) participate today and also made several finals. I was so proud of Birdy that I might have shed a few tears but only those who followed her story would understand ♥️ **last photo is actually a video of Birdy today.

We will all be out again tomorrow at the Arapahoe County fairgrounds so come see us if you are in the area.

Today was heart clinic day. Bubbles was not able to get scanned at the fall clinic because she had babies so it was her turn this go around. She once again scanned clear for heart disease!

For those who do not know, I help organize cardiac clinics ever six months. This time we were able to scan a total of 32 cats, both breeding cats and some pets. We had hairless cats, short haired cats, curly coated cats, long haired cats, spotted cats, some with polydactyl feet and they came from 3 different states. I am super grateful to see more and more people scan their cats for heart disease and the amount of breeders that are attending these clinics grows at each one.

Day 84: El would like to let our followers know that her human mom has been slacking with going through applications. We had some guests last week and a lot going on so she didn’t get through as many as she had hoped. She hopes everyone should hear back either way by the end of the weekend.

Oh, and there is a surprise coming soon 😊
