So I was talking with a “new client” for a couple of days and getting excited about a booking for Loyal Lens Photography 📸✨

Everything seemed normal… until today. 🙃
Suddenly, I’m told I’ll be receiving my deposit plus a “DJ deposit” that I need to forward, with a $50 bonus for my trouble because his bank “doesn’t accept checks.” 🚩🚩

The truth is, Loyal Lens Photography means so much to me. I work hard to build this business because photography is something I genuinely love, and I’m passionate about what I do. On top of building this business, I also work a full-time job—so having my time wasted honestly pi**es me off.
It hurts when people try to scam something I care about so deeply.

Anyway, if you actually want photos, I’d love to work with you. I offer referral discounts for real humans with real events and real intentions. ✨

Met up with Derek, an awesome senior, and his equally amazing mom on a chilly Colorado morning last week. Total troopers! 🥶🏈 Derek’s not only a powerhouse on the football field, but also has such a bright future ahead. I’m so grateful to capture this milestone for a young man with so much heart and drive.

From Sleepy to Suave: A Kitten’s Glow-Up

Caught mid-yawn, this little fluffball is clearly living his best cozy life. Nap goals? Achieved.

Yesterday’s adoption event at Rose Hip, hosted by the Footbridge Foundation, was hands-down the busiest one I’ve ever see and the energy was incredible! A big reason for the amazing turnout? An article written by MySA that spotlighted the event and even featured a few of my photos from previous months (a suprise and honor!).
Thanks to the extra buzz and all the kind hearts who came out, 11 cats found their forever homes! That’s 11 tails curled up on new couches, 11 purrs in brand-new laps, and 11 lives changed for the better!🧡

I only took 1,575 photos at the rescue today🤪, so I took a break from packing to edit a few. This one is definitely one of my favorites among all the amazing shots! The animals really brought their A-game today! It was such a blast! I’ll edit more later, but for now, here’s Jasper looking dapper in his snazzy tie! Now, back to packing!

Over the weekend, I attended the 2025 Fiesta Pooch Parade in San Antonio. It was a fun experience, although a bit tiring as I was accompanied by a foster dog and all my equipment. I did capture some fun moments from the event, and I hope that the photos I took will find their way back to the individuals featured in them. The parade was filled with so many creative and enthusiastic attendees. All in all, it was a doggone good time!
