Chernaya Voda Borzoi Chernaya Voda is a Colorado based Borzoi kennel. Our focus is to ensure correct forms and temperaments for show and pet homes.

Purposeful in everything; which includes careful selection of breeding, and extensive health testing with the goal of bettering the breed. We hold ourselves to the highest standard when it comes to our dogs and policies. We do not breed for quantity, but quality behind every dog.

What an exciting weekend! At the Rocky Mountain Hound Association Specialty Shows and the Greeley Kennel Club, Anfisa was Best of Breed 4 out of the 5 days! On Saturday, the first day of the Greeley Kennel Club shows, Parker and Anfisa took home a Group 1 under Judge Lou M. Guerrero! Sunday the pair took a Group 2 under Edward W. Hall! This pair shined brightly and received wonderful comments from the judges and fellow exhibitors. Anfisa continues to glow inside and out because of him.

Thank you again to the judges for finding our special girl at Colorado's biggest show of the year.

Anfisa on the final go around in the BOB ring at the BCOA National Specialty this past weekend. Anfisa was praised for her bone, structure, and substance by the Judge. While she did not make the final line up [271 competition total] being such a young special was a true honor to be standing amongst those around us.

BCOA National Specialty week is a wrap! I'm pleased to say all three represented themselves to the fullest!

At the Regional Specialty Show under Judge Shirley McFadden, in an entry of 177, Anfisa was given an Award of Merit in a quality line up. We would like to express our gratitude to the judge for finding Anfisa in such a large entry. It is an honor leading up to the National with having so many nice borzoi being exhibited.

At the National on Saturday, under Judge Fausto Cavalieri (L'Aquila, Italy) Lucky Strike did not make it through the first cut, but Nochka did and was ultimately eliminated during the 2nd cut. Anfisa was our big star making it through the 1st, and 2nd cut... and made it to the final BOB Ring. Being the youngest special in the ring it was a tough line up and many quality exhibits deep. (271 specials in attendance!)

Thank you again to everyone's praise on all three of my guys, it means the world.

Sometimes breeding doesn't go exactly they way it was planned, and that's okay! On 3/12/2026 we welcomed our litter out of Lucky Strike x Tatianna into this world. Ultimately we ended up with two, then two became one. While we mourn the loss of 'what could be/ what was', we chose to celebrate our singleton and what his future looks like. Already he has begun to show a chatty personality, just like his father, singing and talking to anyone who will listen to him.

Both parents are recorded AKC CH/GCH. CHIC . Both undeniabley sweet.

Recently we received our UKC Final Top Ten certificates. Our UKC shows are far and few, and we attend 2 or 3 shows a year, but Miss Anfisa came in #3 across the board. There are no local borzoi who regularly attend so the points are usually from Lucky Strike, but Anfisa has put herself in the Top Ten with multiple Group Placing wins, Multiple Reserve Best In Show, and Multiple Best in Show wins.
