It’s black dot season, and this one is extra special! Christine Smith was the lucky winner of the Zen Elite Equestrian Center breeding giveaway this winter. She selected My Vitality for her breeding, and just a few days ago, her mare, My Diamond Cabaret (Cabaret-Blue Hors Don Caruso), checked in foal!

Making this breeding even more special for all of us at Hilltop, Christine’s mare is sired by one of Hilltop Farm’s cornerstone stallions, Cabaret.

We see a lot of Furst Gribaldi in this sweet filly’s face! This lovely filly is by Furst Gribaldi and out of the UB 40 daughter Ella. Owner/breeder Madeleine Hoog-Crellin said it perfectly: “This filly doesn’t take a bad photo.”

The handsome black stallion Renzo (Kjento–Rousseau) and Lottie Fry at the Dutch Selection Trials for the World Championships for Young Horses earlier this week. Renzo is available to North American breeders via frozen semen.

Op dinsdag 26 mei en woensdag 27 mei werd in Delft de tweede selectie gehouden voor het WK Jonge Dressuurpaarden. Twaalf paarden per leeftijdscategorie mogen zich gaan opmaken voor het derde en laatste selectiemoment. Real Dream (Dynamic Dream–Negro), Renzo (Kjento–Rousseau), and Pjethro (Kjento-Desperado) are all moving forward to the third Dutch World Championship for Young Horses Selection Trial, alongside three additional Kjento offspring.

Thirty-six horses remain in the running for Dutch team selection for the 2026 World Young Horse Championships after the second of three selection trials.

Nalegro (Painted Black–Negro) and O’Frederic (For Romance I–Fidertanz) are having a wonderful summer show season. Eight-year-old Nalegro is shown here in his Grand Prix test. While his star-studded pedigree always hinted at the talent for Grand Prix, it’s exciting to now see him confidently going down centerline at the sport’s highest level. Seven-year-old stablemate O’Frederic showed Prix St. Georges for a 70.5%. This talented stallion continues to show so much promise for the future. Both stallions are available to North American breeders via proven frozen semen.
