Here's the scoop on the Big Corporates and who they have acquired in recent years:

💰 Mars Petcare: The largest pet food manufacturer in the world. They recently acquired the highly respected premium brands Orijen and Acana (through their purchase of Champion Petfoods). Mars also previously acquired Nutro, Royal Canin, Iams, and Eukanuba (the latter two from Procter & Gamble).

💰 Nestlé Purina PetCare: Beyond their flagship Purina lines, Nestlé has acquired previously independent natural and premium brands such as Merrick, Castor & Pollux, and Zuke's.

💰 General Mills: Entered the pet food space in 2018 by acquiring the massive natural pet food brand Blue Buffalo, keeping its original name and life-stage formulas intact.

💰 Colgate-Palmolive: Owns Hill's Pet Nutrition (makers of Science Diet and Prescription Diet), maintaining it as a distinct subsidiary.

💰 J.M. Smucker Company / Post Holdings: Smucker acquired a massive portfolio of classic brands like Rachael Ray Nutrish, 9Lives, Meow Mix, and Milk-Bone (and recently sold several of them to Post Holdings, who also kept all the original names).

Looking to add variety to your cat's meals? Fromm Family Foods Four-Star Product Line, you can easily feed a variety of recipes to keep your special pet interested in their food! Stop by Beach Paws Boutique in Downtown Colonial Beach to pick up a few samples to try! Ask Dr. Caryn Tip: Fromm's dry dog food is packaged in a special bag to ensure freshness. Use an alligator clip on the original bad instead of pouring it into a plastic container where it can leach nutrients and absorb unwanted chemicals from the container. Purchase in smaller bags if you feed a variety of recipes as you should use the whole bag within a month of opening for best freshness and nutrient value!
