NATIONAL MUTT DAY!
Today is dedicated to celebrating mixed-breed dogs and encouraging their adoption from shelters. National Mutt Day is celebrated semi-annually on July 31 and December 2. Post a pic of your mutt in the comments!

How to celebrate National Mutt Day:
* Adopt a mutt: Visit a local animal shelter and consider adopting a mixed-breed dog.
* Volunteer: Offer your time at a shelter to help socialize and exercise the dogs.
* Donate: Give to your local animal shelter to help provide food, toys, and medical care.
* Share on social media: Post photos of your mutt using the hashtag to spread awareness.

Colonial Beach is a very pet friendly town. Seems like most of our neighbors (if not all) have pets. The dog park gets frequent use, and dogs love coming to the beach in the off season.
