We are hiring a Veterinary Technician! 🐾
Middlefork Veterinary Clinic is an established, privately-owned, rural small animal hospital with a growing clientele. We’re a friendly, passionate group and we pour our hearts into this profession. Our goal is to find an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. We’re looking for someone who has great people skills and a commitment to providing the best possible care and service to our wonderful pet patients and their people.

Here, we prioritize work-life balance. In a profession with a high stress-load, we strive to make our work environment one that you want to come back to. We do not want this to be someone’s temporary job, but rather a long-term career.
We believe that nights and weekends are for family. As much as we would love to be available 24 hours a day for our clients and patients, this is not feasible. In a profession where burn-out is a real issue, we understand employees need time to decompress from hard days and weeks. Kids need their parents to be home and present. Your pets need you home, so they don’t have to sit in a kennel 7 days a week. Even though it was a very hard decision, we decided from the start that nights, weekends and holidays should be spent with your family. We put our faith in the very wonderful, very capable emergency facilities in the area for after-hours emergencies.
We schedule 30-minute appointments, so you have time to do the best job you can do. Do you need a little extra time with that client who has never had a puppy before? Maybe they need extra information because this is all new territory to them. We try not to rush our clients, and we really strive to educate. Maybe we talk a little bit too much, but too much information has to be better than too little.
We value private ownership over corporately owned facilities. We do not make our employees push products. We educate our clients and let them make the best medical and financial decisions for their pets. We are very proud to offer services to our community for reasonable prices. We may not become millionaires, but at least our clients can afford to give their pets veterinary care.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual that enjoys educating clients and is proficient in routine technician duties (surgical prep, preventative care discussions, blood-draws, catheter placement, treat dispensing, etc). This individual needs to be one that would prosper in a drama free, limited stress environment. Our clinic has a full in-house lab including IDEXX SediVue, CatalystOne, and ProcyteOne machines and in-house xray equipment. We currently use Avimark Software.
The position available will offer paid sick days/vacation, paid holidays, no weekend or emergency hours, an awesome group of girls to work with, and the best patients around. The position available is currently scheduled 7:30am – 3:30pm Monday thru Thursday with select Fridays throughout the month.
