OCTOBER DROP-IN CLASS SCHEDULE

Class Dates and Training Focus

Thursday, September 24th 9:00am - Leave It, Toys and Temptations
Teach your dog to make better choices around food, toys, and everyday distractions while building self-control and responsiveness to the handler.

Thursday, Oct. 1st 10:00am - Confidence & Novel Objects
Help your dog build confidence around new surfaces, objects, and environments through structured exposure and problem-solving exercises.

Thursday, Oct. 8th 10:00am - Place Work and Boundaries
Teach your dog to confidently settle on a designated place while learning boundaries, duration, and calm behavior around distractions.

Thursday, Oct. 15th 10:00am - Real World Manners
Practice practical everyday skills such as polite greetings, waiting patiently, and maintaining focus in distracting environments.

Thursday, Oct. 22nd - no class

Thursday, Oct. 29th 10:00am - Recall Refresh & Reliability
Strengthen your dog's recall through games, long-line exercises, and distraction training designed to build speed and enthusiasm.

Last Thursday’s Leash Walking Foundations class went great! We had 6 dogs (not including my own) come out and work hard. Everyone did an awesome job building confident, connected walking skills!

Just a quick reminder for anyone who has attended or is planning to attend upcoming classes:
There will be NO class this Thursday, August 13th, as I will be out of town.

Drop‑ins will resume the following week on Thursday, August 20th at 10 AM with our next rotation:

Today’s drop‑in class is canceled - a few people who planned to come had things come up, so attendance dropped too low to run a productive session. We’ll start fresh next Thursday morning at 10am with the same Neutrality + Engagement Foundations class here in Waynesboro.

If you’re planning to come next week, please comment below or PM me directly so I can get a headcount.
I’ll have all forms available at the property, and you can email vet records to [email protected] or bring a copy with you!

🐾 Drop‑In Class Starts Tomorrow!

We’re kicking off our first Drop‑In Dog Training class tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 AM at 642 Waynesboro Hwy, Waynesboro, TN 38485.

A few folks have had trouble with the Google form, so we’re adjusting:

🐶 Please comment below if you’re coming.
I’ll have all forms available at the property for you to fill out when you arrive.

🐶 All dogs must be up‑to‑date on vaccinations.
You can email your records to [email protected] or bring a printed copy to class.

This week’s focus is Neutrality + Engagement Foundations — helping dogs stay calm, confident, and focused around distractions.

Here at Wolf Song Acres K9 Academy, we’re proud to start offering our new Drop‑In Dog Training classes starting this Thursday - July 23rd at 10am!
These flexible, no‑commitment group sessions are designed to help you and your dog build real‑world skills one class at a time — from leash walking and impulse control to behavior management and advanced obedience.

This Thursday’s class will focus on Neutrality + Engagement Foundations — helping dogs learn to stay calm around other dogs and people, build focus on their handler, and work confidently through distractions.

We’ll cover:

• Neutrality — calmness around dogs and people
• Engagement — focus on the handler
• Impulse Control — holding positions and settling
• Leash Skills — connected, low‑tension walking
• Place Work — staying relaxed on a station
• Real‑World Focus — working through distractions

📍 Location: 642 Waynesboro Hwy, Waynesboro, TN 38485
🕙 Time: Thursdays at 10 AM
💲 Cost: $25 per dog
🐶 Requirements: All dogs must be up‑to‑date on vaccinations
📋 RSVP Required: This helps me plan class size and ensure every handler gets personalized guidance.

There’s no long‑term commitment — just come when you can and train around distractions in a supportive, structured environment.
