✨Rescue. We assist individuals and rescue groups in Texas to save dogs. We rescue, train and place dogs into loving homes. We support Save A Heeler-Texas to Germany. Save A Heeler-Texas to Germany started in April 2023. In our first 4 months, we have saved 100 dogs on death row in Texas Shelters. More than most

big rescues save in a year! On our page, we post pictures of Australian Cattle Dogs, commonly known as Heelers (and sometimes other breeds), on death row in Texas Shelters. People in Europe, Canada, and parts of the U.S. (where Heelers are adored) see the pictures and pick a dog they’d like to have. Then we RUSH to the shelter to get the dog, sometimes only hours away from euthanasia. We treat any illnesses or injuries, spay/neuter and vaccinate. We keep the dog for 2-8 weeks to make sure the dog is healthy and behaves well, if not we train. Then we ship the dog to the new home. We have a team member in Germany, that has previously checked out the home, who receives the dog from the plane. We are a small, dynamic group with no fat! We have no administration expenses. Every dime goes toward picking up, housing, training, and shipping the dogs to their new homes! It costs $1,000 per dog to do this. Every $1,000 equals one dog that won’t be killed and will live a long, happy life, making room for another dog at a shelter. Over the next 4 months (September to December 2023), with your help, we can save 100 dogs by the end of the year. Thursday, September 21, 2023, is North Texas Giving Day, our area’s largest fundraising day of the year. Our goal is to raise $25,00 by then, to save and send 25 dogs on death row in Texas shelters to wonderful new homes in Europe. Please help us save these dogs by donating now!

Another baby made it home❤️🥳🙌

Happy tails for Luna 🥳

Liana took Luna in after the neighbors had left her behind (which by the way the sheriff was called for but had no consequences)
Luna is a sweet shy and gentle pup. Through Lianas love and care she learned to trust and grew into a beautiful happy young lady!
We did all of her vetting and found her an amazing home in Colorado!
Thank you Jenn for all your work sharing Lunas post in 27 places! Thank you Danika for facilitating the adoption through your sister rescue sweet blu!
Thank you K9 delivery for a great transport as always!
And most importantly thank you Van for giving Luna a safe and loving forever home in beautiful Colorado!

Another happy tail:

Sweet Sadie girl!
She was surrendered to us by her owners who didn’t feel like keeping her anymore. We usually don’t take those kind of surrenders, but I had seen her posted for so long and then the last post was so cold 🥶
It basically said; she escaped, if you find her take her to a shelter, we don’t want her back….

Sadie really struggled with us the first couple of days. She was so sad 😞 missed her family.
It took a while to get her adopted and she did adjust here well; but I’m so incredibly happy that she finally is in a home again!
Sadie arrived last week in her new home in PA with Lori. Thank you for adopting my sweetest girl Lori!!!

I’m so sure she will add the most joy to you guys life!
Thank you Refinery rd for the vetting and Jenna for the transport! You guys rock 🤘

Mia finally was adopted after 7+ months 🎉🥳
One of our longest residents ever!!!

She was very scared and defensive with good reason I’m sure. It took a lot to change her mind and there were definitely times when I wanted to give up; but she did come around and she found her happy forever after all 🎉🥳🙌

Yay for Mia!!!! Thank you for everyone supporting her journey;
Bonnie, Jenn, Brandi…it would’ve not worked out without yall!
Thank you Victoria and family for opening your home to a not so easy girl and choosing a road that requires patience and perseverance! We’re all grateful!

Happy life in Wisconsin sweet girl Mia!!!

This is what we do…

This is the start of bobs story:
This baby is Bob (like his future adopter), he found himself in a shelter in south Texas, not a good place to be, lots of dogs not the best odds to make it out.
Thanks to Edith advocating and sharing his pictures all over the net, Rob spotted him and was desperately trying to help this baby.
Edith put him in touch with us and we will get the pup quarantined, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and off onto a transport to northern Washington where he will be united with his new forever family 🫶 Rob, Kate and Bodo!
Thank you Edith, Ginny(transporting him up from south texas) and Brandi for picking him up in Dallas tonight!
This is just the start of his journey ❤️
…to be continued….

And another momma in need 💔

This momma was left to fend for herself, not wanted anywhere, pregnant…finally a Good Samaritan was able to trap her and put her in his stock trailer overnight to look for help in the morning…

…well before he found help he found 10 puppies 😳🫣
…so we all came together to help. Kelly took the family in to give her a good start and Brandi is soon going to take over 🫶🙌

Thank you everyone for caring and not looking away!
Please help when you can

Part 3 of MONA
Janeys 🐶 pups

After mom had found her forever home in Germany 🇩🇪 it now is Mona’s turn to get on a flight ✈️ to a better future.
No one here had shown interest in adopting a special needs puppy.

Our amazing volunteers Celeste and Brian who had grown so fond of sweet Mona immediately volunteered to accompany her to Germany 🇩🇪 we are so grateful for you guys to come on board of Save Texas K9s 👏🎉

Leissners who are part of our rescue board and amongst other things foster constantly opened their home to sweet Mona and her special needs!

By the way: Mona and mom Janey , who came to visit her daughter in her foster home got to catch up and play! If that’s not the icing 🧁

Thank you Dr Shelly for your endless hours of vet care and guidance for all of us, you’re an Angel on earth and are the reason this family and thousands of others are alive today 🙌

Thank you Natalie and Dr Khris for making it possible for these babies to fly by providing the paperwork!

Stay tuned for Mona’s next chapter 🥳😊🥰

Part 2
Janey and pups
Mona’s story

Puppies grew strong and Janey learned that she was loved and safe ❤️ in Kelly’s amazing care!

As always Noah’s ark and Dr Shelly came through and took care of all vetting ! Everyone gets vaccinated, dewormed, spayed and neutered, microchipped and is on all preventatives!

Please donate to Noah’s Ark if you can. They do so much for our Gainesville community ❤️

Mona developed a condition called Megaoesophagus, which makes her struggle to swallow her food without medication.
As her brothers went to their amazing adopted homes she stayed behind waiting for the special person looking for the cutest special needs puppy.

Mom Janey crossed the ocean accompanied by Sonja and her daughter Hannah, Sonja is our Germany 🇩🇪 rescue coordinator and founder of our rescue TX to Germany project; and with help of her amazing foster family the Leissners (kathrin who helped her babies take their first breaths and Toby)
-she found her forever family to never find herself abandoned in the most vulnerable position one could be in.
She’s making amazing new experiences and is dearly loved 🥰

Some stories are longer than others…
….it takes a village!
I love our village 🫶 with all the cruel things we see daily, you guys are the hope! The hope that one day all the people find the good inside of them to step up to stop the cruelty!
Be the change you want to see ❤️

Part 1 of 3

Monas mom Janey was picked up as a stray and brought to Noah’s ark, where she soon went into an unproductive labor…the worst nightmare as that’s a definite death sentence if not interfered.

The Noah’s ark team is not your average shelter, they are a rescue organization and go above and beyond for their animals, so as terrible as her life was at the moment, scared in pain and distress…she was in the right place!

Dr Shelly performed an amazing emergency c section 🥳 and we were able to assist as it was a Sunday evening…kathrin found her calling as a vet assistant ❤️👍 (she’s an architect 😂) and all three remaining pups made it! And so did Janey!🥳

Everyone recovered well and went onto their next chapter in their foster home with Kelly ❤️ who poured all the care and love into the family for the next weeks!
