A sunny day might feel great to us, but asphalt can get hot enough to burn sensitive paw pads. Before every walk, do a quick pavement check. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

🐾 Protect those paws.
☀️ Walk during cooler hours.
🌱 Choose grass whenever possible.

Dogs and cats can't cool themselves the same way we do, and heat-related emergencies can happen faster than many people realize.

🚨 Watch for signs of heatstroke:
• Heavy panting
• Excessive drooling
• Weakness or collapse
• Bright red gums
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Restlessness

If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cool, shaded area, offer small amounts of water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there — especially the dog moms, cat moms, foster moms, grand-paw-rents, and the treat-givers who somehow always end up sharing the couch. 💕

Today we’re celebrating the humans who spoil their pets rotten, carry emergency treats in every pocket, and somehow know exactly what every bark, meow, chirp, and side-eye means.
