‼️POLL TIME‼️ (pictured is Freya “B” litter btw)

We have the opportunity to import a beautiful female puppy that comes from old school, and amazing temperament lines to our breeding program BUT due to her foreign registration - ‘IHR e.V’ I found out she cannot be registered with AKC or UKC.

My question for my prospective buyers… how important is this to you? We already have a deposit down. Keep in mind she’d be the only female I couldn’t register, we still have others. We market pets, service dogs, companion, PPDs anyways.

✨ OFA EXCELLENT!!! ✨

We are absolutely ECSTATIC to announce that Vera from our C Litter received OFA EXCELLENT hips & NORMAL elbows on her prelims! 🥹👏🏼

Excellent is the highest hip rating OFA awards, and we’re especially proud to see another Excellent result within our program; joining Kane and Thalia, who also have OFA Excellent hips. 🦴🖤 We hope Roman goes at least good later in October too🙏🥹

Vera may be our little girl, but she is small and MIGHTY. 💪🏼 She has so much of what we love, and pending completion of her remaining health testing and evaluations, we are incredibly excited about hopefully incorporating her into the future of our program.

Couldn’t have asked for better results from our C Litter girl. 🩶

Stella 🖤

This is one I genuinely hate to post because Stella is an exceptionally nice dog, but we have decided to find her the perfect home since we won’t be breeding her.

Stella is a gorgeous 5-year-old DDR German Shepherd female with beautiful dark pigment, a phenomenal presence and one of those temperaments that makes her incredibly enjoyable to live with.

She would make an EPIC family protection dog or just active pet. Stella is naturally territorial, naturally protective of her home and her people, and she has real protection training. She is trained to engage when necessary and has the confidence and edge you’d want in a serious protection dog while still being completely capable of turning it off and being a wonderful family companion. She loves the vet, loves all my clients and trainers and has been great to have around.

She is excellent with people and fantastic with children. She has been around countless client dogs of every size, including tiny doodles, and does extremely well. She even gets along with the females in my own household, including Thalia, who is rank. 😂

Stella also lives on my farm around horses, goats and pigs. She currently coexists with 4 indoor cats and two outdoor cats as well. She does have prey drive toward cats and occasionally needs a verbal reminder, so an experienced home that understands boundaries is preferred.

She is trained in German and English, AMAZING in a kennel, obedient, solid nose and loves to “patrol” the property, environmentally solid - haven’t seen her be anxious or nervous once to be honest - and genuinely easy to live with. We’re currently polishing some obedience and making sure her out is exactly where I want it before she leaves.

She will either be spayed after her upcoming heat cycle or placed on a strict spay contract. No breeding rights. Priced to move as I need to downsize to be able to bring another breeding female in.

Experienced with GSDs home preferred. The right home matters more than a quick sale. Serious inquiries only. Lots of Videos and additional information available privately.

We’re so excited to officially announce that Fallan StaFra Vom ZederBach “Fallan” × Feel The Fury Vom Wolfhaus “Kane” are expecting! 🎉🐶

This was a carefully planned pairing bringing together two exceptional German Shepherds with excellent orthopedics, beautiful structure, clear genetics, proven temperaments, intelligence, working ability, and versatility.

Fallan has earned her CGC, CGCA, CGCU, and TC titles — with more to come! 🖤

Kane has earned his PDC, PPD-Prep, PPD1, CGCU, DS, DJ, BCAT, and Farm Dog titles and has proven his versatility working as both a film dog and service dog.

At StaFra, every pairing is made with purpose, not for social media numbers or popularity!!
Our goal is to produce German Shepherds with the health, temperament, structure, intelligence, confidence, and working ability to truly excel — whether that’s in a working home, sport, service work, or as an exceptional companion.

Freya’s OFA prelims are back! 🥳

And while we currently have no plans to breed Freya, these results still matter tremendously to us. Freya was from our B litter with Simona, and as of now I have no plans to continue that line.

Health testing shouldn’t only happen because you plan to breed that individual dog. One of the biggest reasons we test our young dogs is to evaluate the progeny we’re producing and the genetics behind our program.

Freya is a Kane daughter, so her results give us another piece of information about what Kane is actually producing, not just what his own OFAs say.

I’m also a huge advocate for getting orthopedic prelims done early. Genetic/developmental orthopedic abnormalities can often be identified while a dog is young, before years of environmental influences, repetitive activity, injury, weight, conditioning, and normal wear and tear can affect what we see radiographically.

A dog doesn’t have to be a future breeding prospect for their results to be valuable. Testing progeny is how breeders learn whether the decisions we’re making are actually improving the next generation.

Our goal with Freya was to collect another data point on Kane’s production and continue evaluating the orthopedic health behind the lines we’re building at FuryHaus.

And today we got exactly what we hoped for. 🖤

Your 140 lb German Shepherd is not the flex you think it is. 👀

I see it constantly in German Shepherd fb groups:
“My boy is 125 lbs!”
“Mine is 135!”
“My GSD is 140 pounds!”

And somehow the biggest number wins. 😂

But the German Shepherd is supposed to be an athletic, functional working breed, not a giant breed. Bigger does not automatically mean better, healthier, stronger, or more correct.

Of course, there are naturally larger-framed dogs, and the number on the scale alone doesn’t determine whether a dog is overweight. But intentionally chasing massively oversized GSDs, or keeping a dog heavy because an enormous weight sounds impressive - is not something we consider desirable at FuryHaus.

Healthy body condition > bragging rights. Every time.

Extra weight means extra stress on the hips, elbows, spine, ligaments and joints, and that matters even more in a breed already predisposed to orthopedic concerns.

It also starts in puppyhood. We don’t want our puppies growing as big or as fast as possible. We want controlled, appropriate growth while keeping them lean so their developing bones and joints aren’t carrying unnecessary weight.

For our adults, we want to see a defined waist, abdominal tuck and ribs that can easily be felt without digging for them. And no, lean does not mean starving. A lean, well-muscled working dog should look very different from an underweight dog.

Nutrition matters. Genetics matter. Exercise and conditioning matter. But body condition is one of the biggest things we can actually control.

The goal isn’t to own the biggest German Shepherd in the Facebook groups. 😉

The goal is a healthy, strong, athletic dog that can still move comfortably for years to come. 🖤
