First day back from maternity leave, and apparently Dr. Perkins is already taking naps on the job.

Except…she’s not. She’s checking this handsome husky’s nose for foxtails.

Welcome back, Dr. Perkins!

When an equine veterinarian has to trim toenails. You can’t teach an old vet new dog tricks. I think that’s how it goes…

The Collbran office will be closed on Saturdays until further notice, as Dr. Dennison will be in the field working cows on Saturdays through fall. As always, the doctors are available for emergencies 24/7.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Perkins back from maternity leave! She’ll be in the Collbran office Monday–Thursday for both large and small animal appointments.

Thank you for your understanding! Please give us a call to schedule an appointment. (970) 487-3099

Nothing in this world is as special as the newborn bubble. Being a full-time mom to my sweet Andrew Dare Perkins is the best job, but like many moms before me, I’ll be learning how to be both mom and working professional! As predicted, I’ve started to itch to practice medicine again and expand my conversations beyond spit up, gas, and sleep.

I’m excited to announce that in my transition back, I’ll be serving the Plateau Valley out of Collbran 4 days per week by appointment 8 am-2 pm plus urgent and emergent.

FAQs Answered:
-Andrew was born healthy and vibrant, and we are all doing very well!
-I will be coming back to full-service: surgery, large and small animal, in-clinic and farm calls.
-My dog and cat have adjusted well to life with him.
-My mare does not seem to care (we’ll see how that changes when she learns about her new job…)
-If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the little ham around the clinic. Though I don’t think we can expect him to move cattle yet.
-I don’t know when my schedule will expand or when I’ll start serving R***e again. We’re all learning day by day!

Thanks again for supporting us and PVAH! I’m looking forward to being of service again!

We are heart broken! One of our team has passed away. Casey Walter was a part time tech here at Plateau Valley Animal Hospital R***e who had a passion for animals and a quick wit. She was a joy to work with. She had stepped away from the practice to spend time with her kids and husband. Her death was unexpected and untimely to say the least. She left our veterinary community with a gift! Her family opted to have any gifts or condolences represented as a donation to our Grey Hair Pet Care program. This program helps to subsidize those costs associated with veterinary care of pets of senior citizens. The outpouring has been phenomenal! We have received and continue to receive donations in her name as well as others in the last several months which have allowed us the opportunity to “loosen the purse strings a bit”. So for the time being, we are offering a 30% discount to all senior citizens age 60+ for any and all veterinary services needed by their pets. The only criteria is proof that you are 60 years old or older. The overwhelming generosity of this community is outstanding! Thank you Walter family! And our hearts are with yours at this time. If you are in need of veterinary services and you qualify for the 30% discount, please contact one of our offices to schedule your appointment. If you want to donate to this program, you may also contact our offices.
