I have days when things feel easier and days when they feel a little heavier. But spending time with the horses and taking in the beauty of nature reminds me to slow down and appreciate the simple moments.

Last night, the edges of the water in the feed pans were freezing, and this morning we woke up to a frosty front yard!

A little behind-the-scenes problem-solving at Bronken Creek!

Katie and Hush have some very specific dietary needs, so keeping them well-fed takes a little extra creativity. Our latest project is an automatic feeder that dispenses their forage replacement throughout the day.

Senior and special-needs horses often require more than a one-size-fits-all approach. Finding ways to accommodate their individual needs is part of what makes this work so rewarding.

This is our first version, and I’m sure there will be some fine-tuning along the way. Every horse is different, and sometimes the best solutions come from a little ingenuity!

New friendships and old buddies. Just another day at Bronken Creek!

Second cutting is baled dry and headed into the barn.

Two kinds of lab work happening here: the sample probe kind and the four-legged kind. 😂
