Great news from Colebrook NH - Porridge is safe and sound. Thank you to the reporter that called in a real time sighting our team member Kim was helping the family and they immediately set the trap. Porridge did find the trap but did not go in, her dad saw her and with some patience he was able to secure her.

Important reminder if your dog goes missing they will usually circle back if given the opportunity.

You can use a normal deck of playing cards for divination. Or you can use different sized and colored buttons (or stones, shells, bones) you assign meaning to and toss them and read how those meanings inform each other based on placement and how close they are to each other. You can learn to scry into a dish of water. Tarot is not the be all, end all of divination.

Most crystals are not mined ethically and you don't need to work with them at all to be a witch. You can work with your local plants (most things we label as weeds have some use when you research them) and you can make sigils with just paper and pen.

Before it was influenced by Victorian and early 20th century occult bros, witchcraft was very much the magical practice of the poor and they did not have special or separate tools or anything of that nature (an example of this would also be that dyed candles are very modern and old candle magic would have been done with beige-tone tallow or beeswax candles). Witchcraft can be very cheap if you follow folk magical practice (especially of your specific region and people) and not the aesthetics of Tiktok and Instagram.
