Bronson Veterinary Services Bronson Veterinary Services is a veterinary medical facility for small animal and equine, located in We offer services from neonatal care to geriatric medicine.

We are a full service small animal and equine medical and surgical facility. Specialty services include preventive care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery (including ACL, luxating patella and fracture repair), reproduction, ultrasound services, endoscopy, dental care, just to name a few. We offer a variety of reproductive services including, but not limited to, artificial insemination, surgical implantation, caesarean sections (small animal only), embryo transfer, and transvaginal aspiration for oocyte recovery (equine only). We have in house blood machines and digital radiography as well to diagnose disease processes as quickly as possible. We have a brand new, state of the art, shockwave machine for orthopedic conditions as well as wound healing. We
are very excited to offer this for our small animal and equine patients with arthritic conditions and soft tissue injuries. Schedule your appointment today to find out more. We also offer Acupuncture, a noninvasive treatment for a variety of conditions from lameness to nutrition.

The next group to recognize are our front office. Tara, Kimber and Seth do their best to be the first voice you hear and first face you see. They are on the front lines every day, dedicating their time to communication and organization. Without them and their wealth of information, we know our days would be a lot more hectic. 4 Steps to Better Equine Deworming & Pasture Health 🐎👇Parasite season isn't just about grabbing a tube from the tack store—it's about smart pasture management and targeted care!

1️⃣ Test Before You Treat: Run a F***l Egg Count (FEC) with our clinic before applying dewormer.

2️⃣ Know Your Shedders: Identify which horses in your herd shed the most eggs so you aren't over-medicating low shedders.

3️⃣ Muck Pastures Regularly: Removing manure from paddocks 1–2 times a week drastically reduces larvae load in grass.

4️⃣ Dose by Accurate Weight: Always use a weigh tape to ensure you aren't under-dosing your horse.

❄️ Soooo sorry to say it... but....Winter is coming—is your barn ready? 😬❄️

Now is the perfect time to start prepping your stables and pastures before the first hard freeze hits! A little prep work now keeps your horses safe, warm, and healthy all winter long.

📋 Here's Your Pre-Winter Checklist:

💧 1. Check Water Systems & Heaters: Test tank heaters, heated buckets, and thermal wrap before freezing temperatures arrive. Keep backup buckets on hand and verify GFCI outlets are working safely.

🌬️ 2. Inspect Ventilation & Drafts: Seal unwanted, direct cold drafts at ground level, but do not seal the barn completely airtight. Good ventilation is essential to prevent moisture buildup and respiratory issues like equine asthma.

🌾 3. Stock & Protect Feed Supplies: Store hay off damp floors on pallets and ensure feed is secured in rodent-proof containers. Remember: Digesting extra forage (hay) is how horses generate internal body heat!

🛠️ 4. Inspect Pastures & Run-In Sheds: Check fences for loose boards or wire that could snap under snow loads. Clean out run-in shelters and add fresh bedding for warmth and traction.

🩺 5. Schedule Fall Wellness & Deworming: Cold weather requires extra energy! Make sure your horse's teeth, body condition, and parasite management are up-to-date before winter sets in.
