Meet Ranger — a handsome 2-year-old Red Coonhound/Lab mix looking for the right home to match his big heart and adventurous spirit. ❤️🐾

Ranger is an energetic, affectionate boy who loves exploring the outdoors and following his nose wherever it leads. He’s smart, food motivated, and enjoys being with his people. His family loves him dearly, but they know he would truly thrive in a home with more space to safely run and explore.

🏡 Ranger’s ideal home:• Large securely fenced yard or acreage• Active adults or family with older teens• No cats or small animals• Hound or working breed experience preferred

He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and comes with a Fi GPS tracking collar. Ranger would benefit from continued training and structure as he matures, but he has all the makings of an incredible companion for the right family.

Meet our newest Rescues from Greene County Virginia: Pretty Dolly, the Black and Tan Coonhound, and Elmer, a sweet little 5 yr old Beagle. We are grateful for the help of our rescue partners and volunteers in Virginia who are helping drive these two around between fosters, boarding places and vets. Dolly and Elmer will be making their trip to Massachusetts in early June - stay tuned for details.

Dolly our absolute gorgeous black and tan hound girl who had been in our care since January and Elmer the sweetest little beagle who recently came off stray hold started their new journey today!!! These two will be making their way to Massachusetts with the amazing rescue NECR!! We know they will find the very best homes and we couldn’t be happier!! We want to send an overwhelming thank you to every single person who made this possible for these two Greene County pups!! Thank you Sabrina for transporting these two today. We can’t wait to see the updates! So much love to Dolly and little guy Elmer❤️

Looking for a fun, lovable dog that’s great with older kids and teens? Meet Goose 🐾

Goose is a friendly, energetic boy with lots of s***k who’s searching for a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, play, and enjoy life to the fullest. He absolutely loves people and thrives on attention and companionship.

Because of his size and energy level, Goose would do best with older kids or teens. He’s good with other dogs with proper introductions, but prefers calmer canine friends over overly excitable pups. He’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one and only dog 💙

Goose is currently living with a cat, but he gets a little too excited at times, so a cat-free home is recommended. He also experiences some separation anxiety and would do best with someone home most of the day — a retired couple, work-from-home family, hybrid schedule, or active outdoorsy home would be ideal for this sweet boy.

Goose is available for visits in Haverhill, MA!

Meet Jack 🐾

Jack was part of a seizure case involving 12 dogs back in November and has now spent 151 days waiting at the shelter for a family of his own.

This sweet 5-year-old hound weighs about 60 lbs, loves walkies, people, and other dogs. He’s also friends with another shelter pup, Rosie, and they could go home together if someone is looking for a pair. ❤️

UPDATE: Great News!! Curly is back home! His owners left food for him in his dog run, left the gate open, he went in and the owners were able to close the door. Great job!

Meet Louise 🤎🐾

After spending 815 days in a Virginia shelter, Louise is finally getting her chance to shine. Overlooked time and time again simply because she was one of so many tricolor hounds needing rescue, this sweet girl never stopped hoping for a family of her own.

Now thriving in a loving Virginia foster home, Louise is showing everyone just how special she is. She loves being around other dogs, enjoys attention from people, and is doing great with new sights, sounds, and leash walks. At about 4 years old and 50 lbs, Louise is ready to leave shelter life behind forever and become someone’s loyal companion.

She’ll be arriving in Massachusetts in late May — and we can’t wait for her next chapter to begin. ❤️

🐾 Meet Copper 🐾The handsome Treeing Walker Coonhound with a heart literally printed on his butt ❤️

Copper is a 7-year-old, 70 lb neutered male who has been through more than most dogs ever should. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Connecticut involving 30+ dogs, Copper is finally getting his chance to find the loving forever home he deserves.

Despite everything, Copper remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of life. He’s leash trained, house trained, dog friendly, and especially adores small dogs. He loves people, hugs, belly rubs, pets, and still gets the occasional zoomies 🐶💨

Copper recently attended an adoption event and even had an overnight foster stay where he earned glowing reviews for his calm, loving temperament. Large crowds can make him a little nervous, so he would thrive in a quieter home with a fenced yard where he can feel safe and loved.

Meet Larry, Moe & Curly 🐾

These three adorable Beagle boys were found as strays in rural Virginia and are now ready for a fresh start. Around 2 years old and 26–27 lbs, they’re healthy, active, and full of playful energy.

They love other dogs and especially enjoy running and playing chase together. Like many rural hounds, they likely lived outdoors in a pack, so each would do best in a home with a canine companion.

In new environments, they can be a little shy at first—but with a bit of patience, their sweet personalities shine through. They’re curious, gentle, and surprisingly quiet for Beagles!

Larry, Moe & Curly will be arriving in Massachusetts on May 16 and can’t wait to find their forever homes ❤️
