This sweet girl was brought in today by a good samaritan. She was found in the middle of 72; she is covered in fleas and ticks. She had been hit by a car, and it appears she has been on her own for a while. Message or call us if you believe that she is yours. We believe she is about a year old, not spayed, female beagle. ❤️She does not have a microchip.

Buzz 🐝
This sweet 1 year old poodle has captured all of our hearts since he came in. Buzz has been a resident at CVRS for a few weeks now, and he is now up to date on all veterinary care and is fixed!

Buzz is dog friendly, cat friendly, and absolutely loves people. He is such a quick learner and smart dog. He adapted to our schedule very quickly and became best friends with George. He is just a very joyful dog and would do well in a home that would love him how he loves!

Thanks so much to Rescue Paws UGA for all their help cleaning around our facilities and spending time with the dogs and cats available for adoption.

This little fellow came to us in rough shape, flea covered and emaciated. He is fully vetted and ready for his forever home.

Last year when the Haven was damaged and subsequently demolished, the fenced areas were taken down to provide access for the equipment that was needed to do the jobs. Now that it is "getting close", the damaged fences have to be pulled up, cleaned up and new fences installed. The weeds have taken over as well and there will need to be alot of cutting, trimming and spading up roots to clear the areas.

We would like to designate and special day to gather and work together to get the job done. This weekend is a bit too close to get organized, but we will be working, so if anyone wants to join us, there will be room!

We can plan for the 25th or 2nd, depending on which date is best for the most folks. We would plan to have "eats" at that time for those helping. Call us at 706 548-2233 for more information.

The Forgotten Stella.

We are constantly asked to help the dogs on urgent lists across the state. Our feed is flooded with last calls.

Stella was one of those. She was 10 months old at Walton County. Labeled with a Last Call. She had a foster. But Stella and their dog just didn't get along. So Stella went to boarding.

Now months later Stella is really fading away. She is too anxious and reactive to attend adoption events. So she lives in boarding. Back where she started.

We can't pull dogs just like her from the euthanasia lists when we still haven't fulfilled our promise to Stella. She still needs to be saved too. Stella still matters.

We could send her to board and train, but she would have to have a foster to follow up with training. We are out of options for Stella.
