Kitty #5000!
(Pic of him in comments, not nearly as amused as we are about his status ๐)
Our backstory:
In 2010, Dr Kim Wilson and LVT Mary Nisbet saw the need for low cost TNVR (trap-neuter/spay-vaccinate-return) services for outdoor cats in our area, and Barn Cat Outreach was born ๐ฑ ๐ฑ ๐ฑ
Volunteering a couple weekends a month to the cause, they quickly realized what a HUGE need there was for these services. For many years, BCO functioned as a mobile, โMASH-styleโ clinic, setting up in garages, firehalls, colleges etc. A donated camper was converted into a โneuter scooterโ for a few years as well ๐ During its evolution, BCO became an official 501c3 non-profit in 2013, gained more veterinary and support staff volunteers, then pushed forward to having a brick-and-mortar facility in 2023โฆhere we are! As a side quest, we have been able to find great indoor homes for over 200 friendly kitties as well.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that has gotten us to this point, no matter how big or small your contribution was ๐
