Hermione and Minerva are now 6 months old and finally starting to fill out some. Love Hermione's chest and I love Minerva's body. They are not perfect but they are my 2nd generation but I think they are considered 1st generation out of a doe I produced Bug's Shadow. Not sure how that technically works 🤣. I can't wait to get litters from these two once I have some doe pens open up!

I think I am gonna try Bug's 'Dusty Bottoms' with Bug's 'Minerva'. Possibly Bug's 'Pepper-Jack' or Bug's 'Monterey-Jack' with Bug's 'Hermione' but not sure on that may pick Henry's Lilo 🤔.... Now to work on producing a doe with the side profile of Minerva and front profile of Hermione!

Just a lil update on the rabbitry, I've been busy over here with the festival and trying to get caught up on cleaning. I havent stayed on track with weekly pictures of the babies 🫣. They are 4 weeks old now! I am really excited for Hazel and Risk's litter 💕 pictured is 2 bucks out of the litter and their sire Risk. I do believe Hazel had mostly bucks again its looking like the broken and the rew are does and all the black torts are bucks 😫. I do not need more black tort bucks! So stay tuned I will have many available again.

I have decided to not attend the Reedsville, PA show October 31st. The few juniors I still have will be fresh seniors and wont be able to compete up against older seniors. As much as I really wanted to attend! Best of luck to the holland crew that will be showing in youth and open💕. I am hoping our Fall litter pairings will give us better growouts to show next year!

I am proud of the little progress I've made towards producing better quality. Compared to what I started with in 2023. But I do have a long ways to go and a lot to improve to compete up against breeders that have been breeding for decades! Next year may not bring many shows for us but I am hopeful that we make more progress towards our goals.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be yesterday. Another Festival in the books at Little Topia in Williamsport, PA. Thank you so much Blesing Short for inviting us. It was a wonderful time and went very well💕. As always the bunnies are such a big hit for the kids! Thank you so much for everyone who came by enjoyed the buns, all the kind compliments, and so many families supporting the bunnies by purchasing from our little stand ❤️.

These guys are getting cute and spunky 🥰💕. I already have my favorites 😍. I am really looking forward to how this litter is going to develop out of Maggs/KBF Hazel and Bugs Risk.

First time trying it out but I switched them to plastic boxes. So they can easily get in and out now that they are bigger and exploring more.

☆ "What kind of nest boxes do you prefer and for what breeds??" ☆

I like the wooden nest boxes the best! But have to make them steps to get in and out as I do not like laying them on their sides. The nest just collapses and nesting material gets all over the pens. Plastic boxes so far arent bad and more sanitary but need to figure out the best way to secure them. Havent secured these two I'm using now and they are getting pushed all over 🤣.

We have our first Rew in the nest box! Out of Maggs/KBF Hazel (Broken Black Tort) and Bug's Risk (Black Tort) 💕. Days are flying by the babies are already 2 weeks old and eyes open 😫. They grow up too fast! Wish they stayed small a little longer 🥹.

My favorites are dilutes! I love blue torts/blues and brokens are my favorite. When I first got into breeding blues and chocolates were the goal. It didn't quite start out as planned and goals have shifted but I am slowly getting there, working on producing dilutes 💙🩵.

The lil guy posted may not be a dilute but I love getting varieties I havent produced yet🥰.

Our herd buck KFB Cabu has really grown into himself. In more ways than one he tops being the largest buck at our rabbitry weighing in at 4lbs 14oz 😅. He will be a year old October 26th.

Cant wait to see what more he can produce. He sired a litter of 2 with Bug's Meadow currently in the nest box. He was rebred to Blossom hoping this time around goes better for her. She does have a singleton sired to him but unfortunately she wasnt producing hardly any milk and made the call to have Meadow foster her kit 💕. She had an odd kindling this time around but shes still in great condition and ready to rebreed.

We are all stocked up on food for a lil bit! Im hoping it lasts till the end of the year but depending how many babies we get will differ. Once the babies start feasting then we start going through about a bag a week 😅. I know our stock for a few months would only last some breeders maybe 2 weeks 🤣.

Happy National Rabbit Day💕🐰. We have 3 new fall litters baking in the nest boxes. 6 healthy babies out of Hazel x Risk the runt unfortunately passed away. 2 fatty chonks out of Meadow X Cabu she also had 1 pass. Miss Blossom had a strange kindling this time around but so far she has one healthy baby hanging in there 💕
