So when you ask for the price on a cat. Take a look. Spay is double.
This is why responsible breeders ask so much for them. It’s nothing personal.

Post edit: Yes this is a corporate run veterinary office. BUT im paying almost exactly the same as the other offices in my area. After leaving California I have tried every vet in my area and they all are bad and expensive. I found this one and at least they know “cat”. I just paid for a spay at a different vet that was privately owned and it was 900.
The point here is not where the surgeries are done. It’s the costs responsible breeders pay.
So when people contact me and only want to pay 400. It’s insulting and upsetting. 400 don’t even cover vaccines and rabies and the snap test.
I’m paying what you would be paying before your baby goes home. I’m insuring that your baby is healthy.

Let me explain the costs before we all waste our time. I’m ethical and responsible. That means I don’t make a dime off what I do. There’s no shortcuts, no easy way out. I love my breed and that’s my passion. I’m also extremely small. That means I have maybe one litter a year. Hardly enough to reimburse myself for everything I put in.

spay=700-850
Neuter=350-450
Rabies=office visit 100 plus rabies shot =100
Shots=40
Microchip=office visit plus 35
Heart exam-=150-250
DNA genetic testing=135
Vet health certification= 150
The best food Farmina=85 a month
Raw=12.00 a pound (1/2 pound a day)
Grooming supplies 200

Add my time… baths, nails, supplement feedings, milk replacer, vitamins, minerals, awake every two hours.

So when asking for a kitten don’t be shocked. I do all the work so you don’t have to. I deliver a healthy kitten that you don’t need to spend 1000’s on in vet care.

I also show my cats. This proves I’m not a scammer or a back yard breeder. Each show is @3000

Expensive hobby. Hell yeah! But I did pay more when I had a horse. It’s for the love of the breed not greed.
