Some recent reviews. Glad to be able to work with such great folks.

I can’t recommend Alida enough! She’s one of those rare horsewomen with both extensive knowledge and a genuine, heartfelt connection to every horse she works with. What I admire most is that she always puts the safety and well-being of the horse first — no shortcuts, no rushing, just honest horsemanship done the right way.
Alida has this incredibly calm and patient presence that settles even the nervous or opinionated ones. She really listens to each horse and meets them where they are. She understands that every horse learns differently and at their own pace, and she adjusts her approach to let the horse succeed and build confidence. Watching her work is honestly so refreshing.
On top of her skill, she’s truly trustworthy. I’ve known her for about 15 years. You can hand your horse over to her and know they’re being treated with respect, kindness, and good sense.
If you want a trainer who blends knowledge, feel, patience, and real horsemanship — Alida is your girl. Your horse will thank you for it.

Alida has the unique savvy of understanding horses. She has the patience to stop and comprehend the mental and physical capabilities of each individual horse. She understands the progression of the horses abilities to discern what the trainer is asking the horse to perform, while also having the ability to translate these techniques to other riders.Alida recognizes the secret of establishing a relationship with the horse through asking the horse to do something, then “ Let Them Do It “ After 50 plus years of breeding, raising and training horses l can honestly recommend Alida as a trainer for the horse as well as for the rider..

Alida was recommended to me by a very close friend of mine. I was looking for someone to do ground work on my yearling while I was pregnant. Riot was with Alida for two months and she did great work with him. She taught him and exposed him to many things and has put a solid start on him. Which is exactly what I had hoped for. She was kind, soft and would meet him where he was at. Something that I find very important when it comes to starting youngsters. She sent me updates, videos and answered all of my questions. My farrier also had high praise for Alida and commented on how well he did after he came back from training. I highly recommend her services and I plan to use her again in the future.

Working with Alida has been phenomenal. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and - my favorite part- not the least bit overbearing. She gives you the opportunity to try, learn, and build confidence without micromanaging every move.
We’ve been working on starting horses, polishing my riding, and improving my general knowledge of tack and horsemanship. I have grown so much under her guidance.
I recommend her as highly as I possibly can to anyone looking for a trainer who truly supports both the horse and the rider.

I had Alida ride a quirky TB mare for me. She was very calm and quiet with her and did what she needed without being rough or forceful. I also got to see her work some c**ts. I highly recommend her for starting the young ones or helping work through your or your horses insecurities.
