Today, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Star, one of EATSF's most beloved equine partners.
At 30 years old, Star dedicated his life to serving our participants with patience, kindness, and an unwavering spirit. Throughout his years at Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida, he touched countless lives through Hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, and our unmounted programs. No matter the role, Star always put his participants first.
Star came to EATSF in 2001 at the age of 5 and became the longest-serving horse in our programs. For 25 years, he faithfully carried out our mission, helping participants build confidence, strength, independence, and connection.
Those who knew Star understood that he was truly one of a kind. With his gentle nature and steady presence, he brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to spend time with him.
While our hearts are heavy, we are incredibly grateful for the years we shared and for the impact he leaves behind. Please join us in celebrating Star's remarkable life by sharing your favorite memories or photos in the comments.
Enjoy those green fields, Star. You will be deeply missed and forever loved. 🐴❤
