It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Oreo, one of our beloved program horses at Equine-Assisted Therapy of South Florida.

Oreo was part of our program for several years, touching the lives of so many people along the way. When it was time for her to retire, we were so grateful to find her a peaceful home at the Retirement Home for Horses Inc at Mill Creek Farm. She enjoyed retirement, spending her days peacefully in the pasture with her new best friends. We are so thankful that her retirement was filled with comfort, friendship, and love.

We are grateful she was surrounded by people who cared for her and advocated for her until the very end.

Thank you, sweet Oreo, for the memories, the love, and all the lives you touched. You will forever be a part of our EATSF family.

We are beyond grateful to partner with friends like Atlantic Technical College and Technical High School, the Coconut Creek Police Department, and Coconut Creek Fire Rescue for the annual "Friend Responders" event. ❤🐴🚨🔥

Friend Responders helps young adults with disabilities by improving their communication and interview skills, while officers and fire personnel learn about how to approach people with disabilities in the field. Add horses to the mix, and it is the absolute best!
