When our Head Groom was out sick for two weeks, it took an entire team of dedicated volunteers to step in and keep The Lucky Horse Sanctuary running smoothly just like Sam does.

It was truly an honor to celebrate such wonderful foster parents this morning at The Lucky Horse Sanctuary.

These special families open their hearts and homes every single day, creating safe spaces filled with love, hope, and healing for children who need it most. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the compassion, dedication, and selflessness they bring to our community.

A very special thank you to Toro & Max for helping create these beautiful memories that we will cherish for a long time to come. Their gentle spirits brought so much joy, laughter, and connection to a morning filled with love.

🌟 VOLUNTEER of the Month – May: Aluria 🌟

If you’ve ever wondered who’s out there before the sun rises, greeting the animals while the rest of the world is still asleep… it’s Aluria. ☀️🐓

Up at the crack of dawn with the roosters, Aluria starts each day making sure our rescue animals feel loved, cared for, and ready for an amazing day ahead. Whether she’s cleaning, loving on the animals, or simply being a calming and compassionate presence, she pours her heart into everything she does.

The animals absolutely adore her, and honestly… so do we. 💕 Her kindness, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever needed embody everything The Lucky Horse Sanctuary stands for.

Volunteers like Aluria are the reason we are able to continue helping both animals and people heal. Thank you for your early mornings, your huge heart, and the love you give so freely to every soul here.
