Hurricane Season is here 🌪️🐾

This is your friendly reminder:

If you're a boarding or daycare client at upDog Pet Services, please ensure your emergency contact information is up to date before a storm appears on the radar. If an evacuation order occurs, I need to be able to reach someone who can pick up or coordinate care quickly.

As a small home-based business, it's just me, two toddlers, and a whole lot of dogs when things get stressful. I can't safely manage everyone in an evacuation scenario without solid backup plans in place for each pet. Your preparedness directly impacts their safety.

Hurricane prep checklist for pet owners:
* Keep a current emergency contact on file
* Have a crate or secure carrier ready if needed
* Pack extra medication, food, leashes, and comfort items
* Ensure ID tags and microchip information are updated
* Don't wait until the last minute to plan pickup arrangements

The goal is simple: everyone stays safe, calm, and accounted for- dogs, humans, and toddlers included.

Thank you for being proactive pet parents. It genuinely makes all the difference.

Starting June 1st, we’ll officially be rolling out our new daycare packages + updated pricing structure for a summer trial run! 🐾

After a lot of thought, planning, and feedback from clients, these changes are designed to:
✔️ create more consistency for our daycare dogs
✔️ reward our regular clients with better value
✔️ help us continue providing safe, enriching, personalized care
✔️ support the long-term sustainability of upDog while still keeping things fun, flexible, and community-focused

✨ NEW DAYCARE PACKAGES ARE COMING ✨
Whether your dog is a:
🐶 casual social butterfly
🐾 enrichment-loving adventure pup
💛 or a frequent daycare regular

…there will be package options to fit your needs while saving compared to daily rates.

📈 Updated pricing will also go into effect June 1st as we continue improving the experience here at upDog — including enrichment activities, facility upgrades, and more individualized care.

We’ll be testing this new system through the summer, and if it works well for both our clients and our family, we plan to continue it through the holiday season as well.

WE’RE BACK 🐾✨
And honestly? upDog is coming back better than ever.

First and foremost- thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
To every single person who shared, donated, checked in, sent encouragement, gave grace, and allowed me the space to navigate an incredibly difficult season while still supporting my family and business… I will never forget it. The transparency, patience, and kindness from this community meant more than I can properly put into words. 💛

I also want to acknowledge the GoFundMe support directly because you all deserve transparency right back. Those funds are helping create meaningful upgrades that directly improve your dogs’ experience here at upDog, including:

🐾 New enrichment equipment & rotating activity setups
🐾 Brand New AC unit for kennels
🐾 Additional sod for the yard
🐾 Facility improvements & organizational upgrades- flooring, shelving, paint, p**p scoopers, and much more!

This season forced me to reevaluate what sustainability looks like, both as a business owner and as a mom to twins. The result is a version of upDog that feels more intentional, balanced, enriching, and sustainable long term. And I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

(Think daycare… but with extra ✨mental fulfillment✨ instead of just chaos and vibes.)

Because family balance is a priority for me moving forward, there will also be a slight adjustment to drop-off and pick-up availability. Standard hours will remain as an option, while extended/custom times may include a small additional fee when available. Thank you in advance for understanding and supporting a more sustainable structure for my family and business.

ALSO- if daycare scheduling doesn’t line up with your needs right now…
👀 The yard will also be available through SniffSpot for private rental use! Perfect for reactive dogs, decompression sessions, enrichment outings, training practice, or simply letting your dog safely RUN without the stress of a public park.

I know I said I’d be back in May, and I fully intended that. Unfortunately, life had other plans, and I’m not able to resume services just yet.

I’m incredibly disappointed and working hard behind the scenes to get things back up and running as soon as I can.

I’ll be stepping away from March 23 – April 22 for a short personal wellness break. During that time, a trusted friend will be checking messages and saving all daycare, boarding, and training inquiries so no one gets missed.

Daycare and boarding will resume in May, and I’m looking forward to seeing all your pups again soon.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of this small business of mine.

In the meantime, please give your dogs an extra treat and tell them I said hi… they’ll understand. 🐶

I’ve gone back and forth on whether to share this, but transparency has always mattered, so here it is.

My family is walking through a big transition right now. Because of that, I previously shared that I might need to pause boarding and daycare. After a lot of reflection (and a lot of sleepless nights), I’ve decided I want to try. Not just for me, but for my kids, and for the business I’ve poured my heart and soul into. This is my identity and the flexibility I need to be there for my boys.

Keeping this space running means keeping our home, and keeping our home means keeping the business visible and supported. I’m doing all of the work behind the scenes, but community matters too, and this is me asking for help without shame.

If you’ve ever trusted me with your dog, shared a post, talked about my business to a friend, or believed in what I do, I want to thank you. From the bottom of my heart. If you’re willing to share my page, pass my name along, or book services when you can, it genuinely makes a difference right now.

The previously shared was panic, I don't want a goodbye post. I want to try. So hard. Show my children what their mother is capable of.
And I’m really grateful to be surrounded by people who understand that asking for help is sometimes the strongest thing we can do. I suppose I should have reached out a lot sooner. 🤍

🐾Stevie is Looking for Her Forever Home🐾

We will soon be fostering this beautiful girl while her family navigates some tough medical issues, and we’re hoping one of our amazing clients might be the perfect match. Youve seen her in our stories and posts many times, shes a regular we've known for several years now ❤️

🐶 Name: Stevie
📍 Location: Cocoa/Rockledge, FL
🐕 Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier
🎂 Age: Adult (Medium, ~60 lbs)
💉 Good to Go: Spayed, microchipped, shots current, housetrained
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Currently lives with a cat, her previous house mate (passed away 🙁) was another female pittie she got along woth famously. She has gotten along with every dog we introduce her to- big and small!

Does not live with children but has not shown any concerning behavior towards them. She's interacted with children aged 6-16 and based on how playful she is, older kids might be better. She takes a little longer to warm up to younger children- My twins are 16 months old and even the most well behaved dog finds their erratic behavior alarming. 🤣 She'll bark at them when they're running around the backyard (protected contact) and turn away from them quickly.

✨ Personality: Adventurous, goofy, affectionate, playful, and loyal — perfect mix of snuggles and fun!

Stevie is looking for a forever family who will love her as much as she deserves. Through no fault of her own, she needs a new home — and she’s ready to give all her love to the right family 🥰.
