🏆 BME is headed home from Kentucky! 🏆
After a long week at the Retired Racehorse Project, we’re heading home with valuable experience for our horses, some great ribbons, and so much to be proud of! ❤️🐴
Captain Quint competed in both dressage and show hunters. He finished 23rd out of 59 horses in dressage, earning scores of 66% and 63.5%. He handled the entire show like a pro! He also gained some valuable schooling miles in the hunter ring that will only help him continue to grow.
Her Lucky Diamond (Gem) also took on both dressage and show hunters! She finished 20th in dressage, earning scores of 68.2% and 62.2%. Gem had two great rounds in the hunters, but a rail and a few tense moments kept us out of the higher placings. I couldn’t be happier with how she handled such a busy atmosphere as a 4-year-old with limited show experience. So much potential in this young mare! ❤️
Alicia Boyle and Ned had an amazing week! They finished 29th in dressage with some great scores and took home 9th place in the Amateur division. These two handled everything the week threw at them like absolute pros!
Sabrina Brown and Manta Ray (Rey) had an incredible week! They finished 3rd in the Preliminary Barrel Racing competition before heading into the championships, where they finished 2nd overall and earned the top Amateur placing! 🔥 This is a pair to watch out for!
Beyond the ribbons, this week was all about growth, learning, and giving these off-track Thoroughbreds the opportunity to show just how versatile they can be. We’re so proud of every horse and rider who represented BME!
A HUGE thank-you to our sponsors for supporting us and helping make opportunities like this possible. We’re also incredibly grateful to Antares and Perri’s Leather for their support! Your generosity means so much to us, and we truly appreciate everyone who helps us do what we love. ❤️
Another huge thank-you to everyone back home who kept BME running smoothly in Pennsylvania while we were away. And an extra-special shout-out to our significant others who traveled to Kentucky to support us, cheer us on, and chauffeur us around all week! 😂❤️ We couldn’t do it without you, and we appreciate every single one of you!
Now it’s time to head home, give these horses a well-deserved rest, and get back to work! 🐴❤️
