Grooming dogs, one home at a time.

09/14/2026

Hello hounds and humans!

After some time away and a lot of thought, I’m so happy to share that The Houndstead is reopening on Long Island as a house call grooming service.

I’ll be bringing the grooming to you — offering professional dog grooming in the comfort of your own home.

There’s something really special about being welcomed into someone’s home and caring for their dog in a familiar, comfortable environment. It’s personal, quiet, and allows me to focus on one dog and one family at a time.

I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do what I’ve loved for so many years, and I can’t wait to meet the hounds of Long Island!

More details coming soon.

After a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision to close The Houndstead.

This choice comes from a place of love and growth in our lives — since welcoming our baby, we’ve decided to move closer to family and start this new chapter surrounded by their support.

To all of my amazing clients (both two- and four-legged), thank you from the bottom of my heart. Although it was short-lived, It has truly been an honor to care for your dogs.

While this goodbye is bittersweet, I’m so grateful for the memories and relationships built through The Houndstead.

Thank you again for all your support.

✨ New Year Update ✨

As we welcome the New Year, we’d like to thank all of our wonderful clients for your continued trust and support.

For the time being, we will be accepting grooming appointments exclusively from our existing clients. This allows us to continue providing the level of care, attention, and quality service your dogs deserve as we continue to adjust to our new roles as parents.

If you are a current client and would like to book your next appointment, please get in touch as usual or use the "book now" link in our bio.

If you are interested in becoming a new client, we are expecting to open our books again in early spring but you are more than welcome to contact us and complete our New Client Form in advance: (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1R0w8X-MSi4pcOR_ES76gwapSheD_tkbviH6Seo-Q8-o/edit).

Thank you again for being part of our grooming family—we look forward to another year of pampering your pups!

Thank you to everyone who was a part of making these dreams come true!

So many amazing humans have supported, guided and loved me through the last 5, most difficult years of my life to get to this point, and I am beyond grateful. Pinching myself as we enter the last few months of 2025 and into a New Year filled with baby snuggles and puppy cuddles. The fact that I get to do what I love from the comfort of home while supporting my family is truly a dream come true. So, thank you. Thank you so much!

Dakota came for her last visit before I head into newborn land but her mom is still doing her thing taking care of all the dogs this holiday season!

Reach out to Aspen’s Corner for your dog daycare/sitting/training needs! Heather is the best and we cannot recommend her enough!

Little Miss Quinlee came to see us one last time before I go on maternity leave. Check out those eye lashes!

I am going to miss these doggie faces so much but can’t wait to soak up our baby’s face very soon.

Biscuit came in for her last visit before heading down south for the winter. Have a safe road trip!
