Make your next zoo visit unforgettable! 🐾

Niabi Zoo Animal Encounters let you get closer to some of our incredible animals while learning from the zookeepers who care for them every day.

Whether you want to meet a sloth, feed a giraffe, brush a mini donkey, see a rhino up close, or visit a giant tortoise, there’s an encounter waiting for you!

Animal Encounters are 30–45 minutes and include admission to the zoo when we’re open for general admission.

Reservations must be made at least one week in advance.

Red River Hog Shenanigans!

Beni and Togo caught having fun again....first investigating the sprinkling of spices on their enrichment device...then second oh wait...it rained yesterday...so a nice roll in the mud is in order!!

Proud Papa Alert! 🐾🐾🐾

Our terrific little Pallas's Cat trio is growing-right-along....with momma, Eevie's watchful eye and proud dad from across the way.

These little ones are out and about more and more each day, following and learning by watching Eevie.

Eyes are open, Ears are finally unfolded and they are wide open for experiencing everything...they had their first all day rain shower, they have shown interest in their first enrichment (a bowling pin), they are going up and down the ramp their zookeeper made them and they have even tried out the firehose bed.
