Kelly wanted to take Missy out because she had a feeling she would do great.

Turns out she was right.

“She was perfect. Jumped right in car and sat quietly the entire ride.

Walked around lake loose leashed. Wanted to meet everyone.

She seems to like water.

She's a gem.”

Karen discovered something about Yona while walking her. The dirt on her nose may be a hint.

“Yona is a sweet girl who loves a walk. She does well on the trail and is not a puller. She is a little shy about having her picture taken.

I have discovered her desire to rid the yard of all moles/voles (she is a girl on a mission ).

Yona is always a pleasure to take out. Just a medium sized black dog with maybe a few pounds to loose, easy to overlook but so worth the effort.”

SHELTER DOG DAY OUT: BELLE

Since Belle lost her owner before coming into the shelter, all she wants to do is be with someone.

She got to do that for a day with Ken.

“Belle is a sweet and happy girl who appears shy initially but warms up easliy!

She hopped into my car with no issues at all and rode comfortably. She was a great hiker on the trail we took and took several opportunities to roll happily on her back in the grass.

She’s a great girl who just takes a little time to get to know you, but is very much the kind of dog that loves being around people.”

Sampson is a big boy.

Thankfully he is a gentle giant.

Kelly said, “It’s a good thing he’s good on the leash…I think he weighs more than me.”

Thankfully, Sampson doesn’t throw his weight around. That doesn’t mean he’s a dog for everybody. But he is the perfect dog for somebody.
