NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO TELL YOU IF A TAASK IS VALID!!!!
After having majority back surgery, Nick and I are staying with family for a few week. I’m revisiting some older what were ‘frivolous tasks’ that are far more valuable to me now as some crazy things have happened. Instead of waiting 30 seconds to get something, my rollator, which I’m required to use, was moved out of my reach, while I was standing. When I was practicing rollator retrieving, I was told “you don’t need that task, you can get it.” I referred the speaker to the previous incident. Todosy I dropped a pill bottle at my glasses on the floor, both easy retrieves for Nick. The first delayedhis back yard adventures by a minute. The second required him to come inside. He did his task and went to slay dragons.
Normally when Nick retrieves glasses, he gets them by the ear piece. Today, he rested them gently between his teeth. The lenses got slimed, not scratched I commented to my family about this, and again was told this was a task I did’t need. It was inappropriate, I could get my own glass (remember that hard bending restriction?) had been told yesterday by physical therapy no bending, no lifting, no twisting. Nick retrieving is essential right now! It’s also a significant reason I got a service dog in the first place. Spatial disorientation has been a major problem since my last TBI.
