MAY NEW BEGINNING!

We had just one adoption for May....but Maggie, now Delilah is living the life!

She came to us as "Maggie", after being found stray running with two other Weims. The poor girl was afraid of everything. We asked our friends at Peaceful Pets if they could help us with her, and everyday we were getting positive new reports on her personality. She was doing so well there, and we were worried about her having a setback going to a new home.

At the end of May, we got the call we had secretly been waiting for!😘. James, Dana and their 4 legged kids had fallen in love with her. Delilah is the official greeter for the new dogs arriving at Peaceful Pets, and has really come out of her shell. We could not imagine a better life for Delilah! She spends her days, rolling, playing, Running, rolling, playing and running some more! She could not be happier!

It seems that more often we get Weims that may be best as an only dog in the home. But Delilah showed us that was not the case with her! We highly recommend that if you need a doggie day care or boarding, you check out Peaceful Pets in Elverta! And Delilah will bet there greeting your pup! Only one warning, your pup may not want to leave!

NCWR WELCOMES WINNIE!

Two year old Winnie (Wi******er) made the trip from Bakersfield up to the Sacramento area today and is adjusting to his new surroundings. Thank you to Audrey, who drove him to Merced, and to Meredith who drove him from Merced to Elverta. We are told he was super sweet in the car!

We LOVE when James and Dana at Peaceful Pets offers to foster for us. We get so much info, like how they do with people, other dogs, sleeping, eating, and what they love to do most.

Coming Soon! Please welcome Loki to NCWR.

Loki is a sweet 10 year old who needs someone that can be with him much of the time as he is prone to a few Weim Crimes if left to his own devices. His whole life he was a service dog and companion to a veteran whom he lost three years ago.

Loki would love to be your shadow. He is also recreationally hunt trained! His mom has tried to care for him but feels he really needs to be with someone that understands and can meet the breed's unique needs with lots of engagement, companionship and exercise. He rides great in cars, is up for all sorts of errands and is wonderful when out and about in public.

He has always been an only dog and can be shy with other dogs, but may do well with a friendly mature male or female; but as typical, really just wants to be with his human. Cats not recommended and older kids are ok.

Loki will be brought current on vet care and neutered next week and is with owner in the Lincoln/Auburn area.

**UPDATE! TRANSPORT HAS BEEN ARRANGED! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!😍

TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED THIS WEEK! BAKERSFIELD TO ELVERTA. (NEAR SACRAMENTO)

We are hoping to move Winnie, a 2 year old male from Bakersfield up to Elverta, near Sacramento any day this week. We will probably need 2 or 3 people to do this transport. If you can help, either reply in comments, or message us with what you can do. And thank you to anyone able to help Winnie on his new journey!

**UPDATE! FOSTER HAS BEEN FOUND FOR SUNNY, WHICH IS A FOSTER TO ADOPT SITUATION. WE MAY STILL NEED A FOSTER FOR WINNIE, THE BOY!

Just as we thought we were getting a break, we now need 2 foster homes. For the male, WINNIE, who we posted earlier today, and now for a young female.

SUNNY is believed to be about 1 1/2-2 years old She's a pretty blue. I will know more in the next day or so, but if you are considering adding a female to your family, you might like to foster to adopt!
