A Look Behind the Scenes of Rescue ❤️🐴
Being the founder of a horse rescue is something I chose because I love these animals and believe every horse deserves a safe place to land. But there are days when the reality of what it takes feels overwhelming.
Right now, I have over 17 horses in my care, just at my barn, and every single one of them depends on me every day.
They depend on me to feed them.
To make sure they have water.
To check on them when they aren’t feeling well.
To notice the little things before they become big things.
To arrange vet care, farrier care, medications, feed, hay, shelter and everything else they need.
There are countless early mornings, late nights, long days and even longer nights spent caring for these horses. A lot of those days, it’s just me.
And while caring for the horses is a full-time job in itself, fundraising to keep the rescue going is another job entirely.
Hay bills don’t stop.
Feed bills don’t stop.
Vet bills don’t stop.
Farrier bills don’t stop.
The horses don’t stop needing us.
These horses didn’t choose the situations they came from. Many of them have already experienced neglect, starvation, abuse, abandonment or simply being forgotten. They deserve the chance to live the rest of their lives knowing what safety, love and consistency feel like.
But I can’t do it alone.
We need our community. ❤️

🐴 DONATE FINANCIALLY — Every dollar helps provide the everyday care these horses need.
🐴 DONATE FEED — If you would like to purchase a bag of feed for the rescue, please contact us first for more information on the specific feed we currently need. With different horses having different nutritional needs, we want to make sure your donation is exactly what one of our horses needs.
🐴 DONATE HAY — Hay is one of our biggest ongoing expenses, and every bale makes a difference.
🐴 VOLUNTEER — We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are willing to commit to at least 2 days a week. Consistency is incredibly important in rescue. By volunteering regularly, you can learn our daily routines, learn each horse’s personality and needs, and become someone we can truly rely on. This isn’t just about coming out once to help clean a stall — it’s about becoming part of the team and making a commitment to these animals.
🐴 FUNDRAISE — Help us organize an event, raise money, or find creative ways to bring support to the rescue.
🐴 SHARE OUR POSTS — You never know who might see our story and become the person who helps make a difference.
🐴 SHOW UP — Come meet the horses, learn about our mission, support our events and help us spread awareness.
I don’t do this because it’s easy. I do it because they need someone to stand up for them.
Every morning when I walk into that barn and pastures, there are 17+ faces looking back at me, trusting me to take care of them. That responsibility is huge, but so is the love I have for every single one of them.
This rescue isn’t just about saving horses.
It’s about giving them a forever home where they will never again have to wonder if someone will care for them.
But to continue doing that, we need you.
