It’s been a busy month working with our favorite schools! Lani and Clyde put in the hours teaching about horses and dairy goats. We love seeing the after school clubs working hard and career day is a fun time every year. Thank you for letting us share our animals with you!❤️

It may be hot and dusty, but we love our days at the horse shows.
As a trainer, I couldn’t be more proud of the growth I continue to see in the ring. We had so many “better than last time” moments, and that is how we know we are heading in the right direction. Always chasing a better ride, learning the patterns, understanding the rules, and picking up tips and strategies along the way.
These girls showed up today. They tried trail, picked up their leads, nailed pivots, backed with confidence, cantered with control, and stayed consistent. But more than that, they knew their worth.
Being able to walk out of the ring and recognize what went well and what needs work is a skill even many adults have not mastered. I am so proud of this group and the dedication they bring to their sport.
Thank you to Spartanburg Horseman Association for hosting such a supportive and welcoming show. We always feel the effort and heart you put into it.
Thank you parents for cheering at the fence, recording rides, and making sure everything runs smoothly. I never have to worry, and that means everything.

Girls, I hope you know how truly special you are. I love this team so much, and yes, I even got to whistle at a few patterns today.

Our first show of the 2026 season was a huge success!

We welcomed many new faces alongside our returning riders, and nothing makes us happier than watching these kids work toward their goals and proudly show their families all the hard work they’ve put into their sport.

There were so many smiles, so much encouragement, and such a strong sense of community even in competition. We heard things like:
“We’ve got this, dude!”
“Wow, way to go you sat the trot!”
“Oh yay, you got a ribbon too!”
“You’re in my class? That’s great!”

That’s exactly what we hoped to build with this series. We want our riders and trainers to support and lift each other up, because competition can be fun when it’s rooted in kindness and encouragement.

Our families and cheering sections made sure every rider felt special. Just stepping into the ring is a huge accomplishment! Between the nerves, the heat, memorizing patterns, and all the preparation, the goal is to be proud of your ride today. To be just a little better than your last ride. The ribbons will come when you relax and ride like you know how.

We are so proud of every single rider and all they accomplished!

A special shoutout to our incredible show dads, who stepped into the ring for our Dad Relay and proved they’re not only horse dads but great sports too! You all are priceless, and we appreciate everything you do.

Thank you to our fantastic judge, Pat Benton, for always offering such thoughtful advice and encouragement to our riders.

Thank you to our wonderful hosts, Clark and Nancy Curry. Your barn is truly our happy place and the perfect setting for these shows.

Thank you Iron City Bbq Co. for always satisfying the hungry masses! We also loved having our 4-H cooking club and bakery with sweet treats!

To our amazing parents, whether this was your first show or your tenth, you showed up prepared and ready, and we love seeing it!

And to our tried and true team thank you for everything you do behind the scenes and in the ring: announcing, handing out ribbons, working the gate, scoring, learning new systems, answering questions, teaching patterns, managing radios, writing grow & glows, packing and unpacking… and so much more. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Congratulations to everyone involved! We can’t wait to see you all again in August!

Feel free to share your photos or tag us :)

Our first show of the season is just two weeks away and registration is officially open.

Preregistration helps us keep everything running smoothly, so we encourage everyone to sign up early. We are also trying a new paperwork system this year, so thank you for your patience as we make this change.

Payment is not due until check in on Saturday, so there is no reason not to preregister.

Date: April 12
Gates open at 9:30 AM
Show starts at 11:00 AM

We will have Parkin Latte, Iron City BBQ, and our cooking club will be selling treats, so be sure to bring cash.

Schooling riders can get patterns early, but they are only available to those who preregister.

Make sure you sign up for our year end high point awards. Remember, this is an open show, so you do not have to attend all three shows to come and show with us.

If you have a number from last year or a preferred number, please indicate it on the form. If you choose a number, you must bring it with you.

Dads, are you ready to defend your titles? We may have a new fun Dad class this year, so get your horse knowledge together and watch for more details.

We look forward to seeing everyone there.

If you have any questions about what classes you should choose or help with registrations feel free to reach out anytime!

First show of the season and we are off with a bang!

We came prepared—mentally and physically—and for once didn’t have to make 15 trips back to the trailer. Our riders walked in confident, showed off their patterns, and did it all with smiles on their faces.

It may have been hot and dusty by the end, but there is nowhere I’d rather be than in the sandbox with this crew. They love each other, their horses, and their fellow competitors in the sweetest ways. Watching them support one another and build each other’s confidence is truly something special.

Hearing “good job,” “that was your best one yet,” and “I love the way you did that…” is music to my ears. Seeing laughter instead of tears after a mistake, watching riders take instruction in the ring, and seeing skills practiced at home come to life makes this trainer so proud.

The ribbons were well deserved, but the growth we witnessed is the best part of this series.

Way to go Spartanburg Horseman Association for putting together such challenging patterns. We love that you trust our kiddos to rise to the occasion! And thank you to the wonderful judge for placing these tough classes.
We are so excited to see more western riders this year!

What a great way to kick off our show season with some of the very best people and ponies out there.
