Our first show of the 2026 season was a huge success!
We welcomed many new faces alongside our returning riders, and nothing makes us happier than watching these kids work toward their goals and proudly show their families all the hard work they’ve put into their sport.
There were so many smiles, so much encouragement, and such a strong sense of community even in competition. We heard things like:
“We’ve got this, dude!”
“Wow, way to go you sat the trot!”
“Oh yay, you got a ribbon too!”
“You’re in my class? That’s great!”
That’s exactly what we hoped to build with this series. We want our riders and trainers to support and lift each other up, because competition can be fun when it’s rooted in kindness and encouragement.
Our families and cheering sections made sure every rider felt special. Just stepping into the ring is a huge accomplishment! Between the nerves, the heat, memorizing patterns, and all the preparation, the goal is to be proud of your ride today. To be just a little better than your last ride. The ribbons will come when you relax and ride like you know how.
We are so proud of every single rider and all they accomplished!
A special shoutout to our incredible show dads, who stepped into the ring for our Dad Relay and proved they’re not only horse dads but great sports too! You all are priceless, and we appreciate everything you do.
Thank you to our fantastic judge, Pat Benton, for always offering such thoughtful advice and encouragement to our riders.
Thank you to our wonderful hosts, Clark and Nancy Curry. Your barn is truly our happy place and the perfect setting for these shows.
Thank you Iron City Bbq Co. for always satisfying the hungry masses! We also loved having our 4-H cooking club and bakery with sweet treats!
To our amazing parents, whether this was your first show or your tenth, you showed up prepared and ready, and we love seeing it!
And to our tried and true team thank you for everything you do behind the scenes and in the ring: announcing, handing out ribbons, working the gate, scoring, learning new systems, answering questions, teaching patterns, managing radios, writing grow & glows, packing and unpacking… and so much more. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
Congratulations to everyone involved! We can’t wait to see you all again in August!
