Happy post alert!

We just had to take a second to brag on a very special lady and a very special dog. If you’ve ever wondered whether there are still angels among us, look no further than Mrs. Penny.

This sweet pup came to us late one night about three weeks ago after being hit by a car and suffering a broken left femur. After some difficult discussions and being faced with some very hard decisions, his previous owners, who were incredibly kind and compassionate, weren’t left with many easy options.

That’s when Kristen, one of our nurses, immediately yelled, “Call Mrs. Penny!!”

We called the one person we knew would be willing to take on such a complicated situation. Without skipping a beat, Mrs. Penny jumped at the opportunity to save this little guy. Her exact words were, “Do whatever it takes to fix him, Doc!”

The very next day, Dr. DiPinto, Maddison V., and the rest of the Caring Hands team got him into surgery. With the help of Maddison and several of our surgery technicians, Dr. DiPinto was able to piece his leg back together and this little guy was walking within 24 hours of surgery!

Now, just three weeks later, he’s back home with his four sisters, running around like nothing ever happened!

There aren’t many people who would, without hesitation, take on such a complicated situation and recovery. But because of the kindness and generosity of Mrs. Penny, this sweet boy got another chance at life.

We are so thankful for special people like you, Mrs. Penny!

We will be closed on Saturday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.

We will operate on our normal schedule on Friday, July 3rd, and resume regular business hours on Monday, July 6th.

🐾 A Note About June 1st & 2nd 🐾

Please be aware that there will only be one doctor available in the hospital on Monday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 2nd.

As a result, wait times may be longer than usual. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as our team works to care for all of our patients as efficiently as possible.

We are so thankful for the 25 years of dedicated service Beverly has given to Caring Hands Animal Hospital!

For those who may not know her, Beverly is our inventory manager and a client services representative. She is known for her gentle touch with patients and the kindness and care she brings to our team every day.

Her hard work and commitment have made such a lasting impact on our staff, patients, and clients over the years.

Please join us in celebrating Beverly and this amazing milestone. We love you!

We are now scheduling appointments for DENTAL CLEANINGS & CLIP CLOSES (SHAVE DOWNS).

If you choose to bring your own food for your pet, please make sure it's in a sealed container. We can not accept food in plastic bags/zip lock bags anymore.

🎉 We’re reopening! 🎉
Tomorrow, Monday 2/9/26 at 9:00 AM, we will reopen for full service.

Our team will arrive very early to deep clean all affected areas before opening.

Please be patient with our staff as we anticipate a rush of clients after being closed since last Tuesday. We also kindly ask for patience with prescription refills, doctor messages, and other non-urgent requests, as priority will be given to patients physically in the hospital.

A huge thank you to Jimmy Lockamy and his team, Mr. Will Tatum, Joseph Hernandez, and our amazing nursing staff for their hard work behind the scenes.

We are also incredibly grateful to Dr. Davis and the team at Tram Road Animal Hospital, and Dr. Hunter and the team at Warsaw Animal Hospital, for providing excellent care to our patients during our closure.

Finally, thank you to our loyal clients for your patience and understanding. Many of you know how hard our staff works, and it is never easy for us to be unable to serve you. We greatly appreciate everyone who offered help, showed concern, and demonstrated such commitment to us—not just as a business, but as family.

We truly look forward to welcoming you back and seeing you very soon! 💙🐾
