Gabriella, now Penny, went on an adventure of a lifetime this weekend to live with Dr. Price and Sarah’s cousin Nicole (and Carmine too!!!). Five hours in the car and not a peep out of the perfect little traveler. She is going to have the best life ever and is already beyond happy to be in her forever home with toys galore! 🤍

It was an adoption kind of weekend! Three of our babies went to their forever homes! Cranberry Orange and his sister, Poppy Seed, were lucky enough to go together and Herne (video in the comments) was lucky enough to find a dad and home of his own where he has already made himself quite comfortable! Congratulations to these amazing youngins and the purrfect families they can call their own now!

Hi. It’s Munchie. I just have a few things to say here. First of all… my mom got adopted. Okay. Fine. I’m happy for her. She raised me well. She deserved a home. 2 years passed. 2 YEARS!!! Then Piper got adopted… Then Phin got adopted…. And now TAMARA, SAMMY AND ANGELA???

Excuse me???

When exactly is it going to be MY TURN?! I have been sitting here watching everyone else get picked while apparently my application is stuck somewhere in the paperwork department or something.

I’m a good girl! I’m beautiful! I love to play! I have a personality! I am extremely deserving!!! And I would very much like a forever home of my own, thank you very much.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to come meet me… HELLO!?! I AM THE SIGN!

So many of our longer term residents here have found their homes. Now I’m just waiting for someone to look at me and say, “I’ll allow that beautiful little lady to tell me who the boss is!”

Til then, I’m here waiting for my turn.

We could really (!!!) use pine litter! You can find it almost anywhere locally but tractor supply is the cheapest! Any brand is fine… the most popular you’ll see at most places is feline pine. Thank you everyone! 🧡

This weekend we had 3 adoptions!!! Sammy AND Tamara went to their forever home together!!! And Angela also got to go to her forever home! We will miss them all but are so happy they’ve found their way. ❤️

When the doctor needs to be doctored…

Important CPV update…. Dr. Price has been in pain for months but a recent MRI confirmed what we suspected… she tore her rotator cuff and needs surgery. We have several theories about how this happened. Maybe she tore it dancing. Maybe it was from spaying and neutering 21 cats in 4½ hours. Maybe she injured it lifting a lawnmower. Honestly? We will never know the truth.

What we do know is that doctors are real people, too. They get hurt, they need surgery, and sometimes their bodies tell them, “Hey, maybe slow down for a minute.” And after years of taking care of everyone else, Dr. Price now needs to take care of herself. She will need to be out for 2 weeks following surgery (not until November), but CPV will still be here. With the help of our wonderful staff, she will be able to continue doing appointments and taking care of our patients as she is able.

Surgeries, however, will need to be booked out. We will do everything we can to get as many already scheduled surgeries moved to be completed before her procedure, and we will work with everyone affected to accommodate any less urgent remaining surgical procedures as best we can once she is recovered.

We also want to let everyone know that until further notice, we will not be accepting any new rescues. Our priority right now is making sure our existing patients, clients, and rescue cats continue to receive the care they need while Dr. Price heals.

We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while our very human veterinarian takes a little time to heal. And Dr. Price… please stop trying to prove that you are indestructible. We already know you’re tough. Now sit down. 🤣
