This is the part of animal control that people don’t always see. 💔
This sweet girl was found soaking wet, cold, hungry, and alone in a wooded area near the border of Mt. Clemens and Clinton Township. Her coat is severely matted; she’s scared, and she clearly hasn’t had the care she deserves. She’s only about 9 months old. What a rough start to life for such a young girl. 💔
Sadly, animals arriving in conditions like this are something our team deals with far too often.
But today, she is safe. ❤️ She’s inside, warming up, getting something to eat, and learning that there are people here who will take care of her. And don’t worry, once she’s had a chance to decompress and settle in, our little friend will be getting a much-needed bath, haircut and all the TLC we can give her. Pictures to follow 🩷
A huge thank you to our incredible Macomb County Animal Control team who, day after day, answer the call for animals who have no one else.
Our Animal Welfare Fund helps us provide additional care and resources for animals just like this sweet girl. If you’d like to help us continue being there when they need us most, please consider making a donation.
