Welcome Golden Retriever lovers, one and all! It's time to mark your calendars for Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan's appearance at the annual Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade. The parade is scheduled for Friday, November 27th at 10am. Our group of GRRoM dogs is always a fan favorite! The crowds cheer us on, as we walk by. It's super fun for everyone involved.

All GRRoM members are invited to join us in the parade and bring their pups along. If you are interested in joining the parade with us, you must register with our wonderful volunteer organizer. Please make sure to register for the parade by completing this registration form: https://forms.gle/UhjyxbNWVLE6VzvY9.
You can also email [email protected] if you prefer. You will receive a message regarding the starting location approximately a week before the parade.

Thank you all for being such a special part of this community. We cannot wait to see everyone and all the beautiful goldens at the parade!

END OF QUARTER 3 UPDATE!
Thanks to GRRoM's amazing volunteers, fosters, donors, and community, 2026 has been a year filled with wagging tails, healed hearts and bodies, second chances, and so, so much love. Here is a broad look at some of what we’ve accomplished together since the beginning of the year. As of the end of Quarter 3, we have:

✨ Rescued and brought to safety 93 Golden Retrievers
🏡 Placed 79 Goldens into loving forever homes
💛 Spent $105,926.88 on medical care, rehabilitation, and daily essentials for our rescue dogs

Every single dollar raised and every home opened is what makes these life-saving numbers possible. We couldn't do this without all of YOU!

Help us finish the year strong so we can save even more lives in Q4! Tap the link in our bio or go to www.ggrom.com to donate, foster, or adopt. ✨

🚨 Lady is ready for her forever home! 🚨

Interested in meeting one of our adoptable Goldens?
✅ If you’re an approved adoptive family, reach out to your home visit volunteer to get connected!
✅ If you’re not approved, head to our website’s Adopt page to get started! Remember, it’s always best to get your application in even if we don’t have any available Goldens so that you’re ready for when we do!

Lady (age 6) is looking for a forever home that will include her in all of their adventures. Don’t let her sugar face fool you, she is spunky and sassy and ready to roll! Lady is happy to be home while you work, but she plans to spend evenings and weekends doing all the fun things with you - car rides, walks, wrestling and rough play, doing doggie puzzles, chasing rabbits, and receiving butt scratches while she does a waggle dance!

She loves all people, but the folks in her home need to be teens or adults because she is serious about protecting her favorite rock or sock from thieving family members.

Lady has an underactive thyroid and needs to be on an inexpensive medication to support her health.

🚨 URGENT: Harvey needs an experienced foster!

Are you an experienced foster who could help Harvey? Please reach out to learn more or contact Ana at [email protected].

More about Harvey:

Harvey is a 10-month-old, 65-pound Golden Retriever with so much potential, but he needs the right environment to succeed.

Harvey has a significant bite history involving young children and resource guarding behaviors around food, bones, his crate, and furniture. He needs an experienced, confident foster in an adult-only home who understands these behaviors and can provide the structure, consistency, and safety he needs.

The good news? GRRoM has his foster’s back. We will provide behavioral consultation and support to help navigate this journey. You won’t be expected to figure it all out alone.

Harvey is playful, enjoys walks and fetch, knows some basic commands, and is crate trained. He’s still so young, and we want to give him the opportunity to be properly evaluated and work toward a brighter future.

A securely fenced yard is a plus. An open mind, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to work with our team are essential.

Harvey needs a safe place to land, and time is important. ❤️

Are you an experienced foster who could help Harvey? Please reach out to learn more or contact Ana at [email protected].

Trinity was adopted!! She is settling into her forever home with one of GRRoM’s long time supporters! Barb had adopted many Goldens over the years and has served as a home visit volunteer amongst other volunteer opportunities!

Trinity is so incredibly loved and will be absolutely spoiled for years to come!

MAC HAS BEEN ADOPTED as of 10/20/26!

MAC – Male - Born 08-03-2021
Mac is a beautiful, loving dog with a very sweet and gentle nature. He is affectionate, caring, and loves being close to his people. Mac thrives on companionship and loves sleeping in bed with his foster brother and parent. He loves to run and play with his foster brother and gets along well with him and other dogs he has met though he does display some leash frustration when encountering other dogs on walks...and sometimes with small critters as well. Exposure to cats is unknown. He knows basic commands and is eager to learn more. He communicates well when he needs to go outside. He could use some additional training to ensure he doesn’t bolt out of open doors. For this reason, a home with a physically fenced yard is preferred, though other forms of containment may be considered. Mac is an energetic 5-year-old and requires regular exercise, structure, and positive reinforcement. While formal obedience training isn’t mandatory, it is highly recommended as a great bonding experience. Because he has had very limited exposure to children and was uncomfortable around a crawling toddler in his previous home, we recommend a home with children over 10 who are dog-savvy. Mac is a wonderful companion who is always ready to cuddle. He has so much love to give and he just might be the perfect dog for you.
