Some days, it’s just about the view. 🌅🐾

A little dirt road, a whole lot of peace, and a reminder that the simple things really are the best things. 🤎

Hunkered down waiting out this hurricane, and we’ve already lost power! 🌀⛈️ But Palmer said, “Let’s have a bubble party!” 🫧🫧😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Leave it to a little one to make the best of any situation! 💕

Praying for everyone in the path of the storm. Stay safe, y’all! 🙏🏼❤️

Sometimes you just need a little heat! 🔥🔥

There’s nothing like 180° to get things GOOD and clean! Our Ruff Land Kennels are tough as nails and can handle just about anything we throw at them—but even the toughest kennels need a good deep clean every now and then. 🧼🐾

Clean kennels. Happy dogs. Just another day around DRDCo!

This is the part that never gets easier… 🥹🐾

Sweet Beau has spent all his days with us, and after watching him grow, learn, and take those first steps into becoming a hunting dog, it’s finally time to send him home.

Beau is a Small Munsterlander from Jia’s last litter, and we’ve had the privilege of getting him started on his hunting journey and preparing him for his NAVHDA testing.

Phase One: COMPLETE. ✅🐾

Now he’s Auburn bound with his dad for some much-needed rest, family time, and socializing before he comes back to us for the next phase.

It’s always a little bittersweet watching them leave—but seeing them become the dogs they were bred to be makes it all worth it. 💚

See you in a few months, Beau! We can’t wait to see what’s next.

🐾 DID YOU KNOW? A GREAT HUNTING DOG STARTS WITH A GREAT SIT! 🐾

Sit. Stay. Wait. Sounds simple, right? 🤪

But these basic obedience commands are the FOUNDATION of a well-trained hunting dog!

Whether they’re sitting patiently in your living room or holding steady in the field, obedience builds the communication, trust, focus, and self-control needed for success.

🎯 In the home: Good manners, patience, and a dog that’s a pleasure to live with.

🌾 In the field: Better handling, steadiness, safer retrieves, and a dog that knows when it’s time to work and when it’s time to WAIT!

At Dirt Road Dog Company, we believe you can’t skip the basics and expect greatness. We build that foundation one command, one repetition, and one GOOD DOG at a time! 🐾

Because the best hunting partners are family members FIRST! ❤️

Interested in our training program? Shoot us a message! We’d love to help you build a better hunting partner, both at home and in the field.

Mom… I don’t know what’s going on in here, but I just want you to know HE did it. 👉🐶

Sarge is over there absolutely destroying the place, there’s stuffing EVERYWHERE, and I have had no part in this mess. I’m just here supervising and making sure you’re aware of the situation. 😇😂

Also… bigger question… WHY ARE YOU SITTING IN A POND?! 🛁👀🤣

Never a dull moment with these two! 🐾
